Footage Leaks What Is Really Going On Inside Slaughter Farms (VIDEO)

Recent footage taken from the inside of a Quality Pork Processors (QPP) plant in Minnesota has been released to the public.

The U.S Department Of Agriculture (USDA) was recently sent a video allegedly showing leaked footage from the inside of a pork plantation based in Minnesota. The footage is so unreal and disturbingly horrifying that the USDA is unsure if the footage is even real. The USDA claims that they will begin an investigation if the video does prove to be real.

A shortened, edited version of the the video was uploaded last weak by animal activist group, Compassion Over Killing, showing workers beating, dragging, torturing and slitting the throats of live pigs – without them being properly stunned or drugged first. Federal law requires that all livestock is to be properly stunned unconscious before killing.

The QPP slaughterhouse is currently part of a pilot project held by the USDA, known as HACCP-Based Inspection Models Project (HIMP), which allows plants to run at faster speeds with reduced government oversight.

The video can be seen below… But be warned, this is the type of video that can scar you mentally or even make you shed a tear.

The plant, as of now, is processing around 19,000 hogs a day! and according to the company’s site, the plant is currently one of the many exclusive suppliers to Hormel Foods, one of America’s leading producer’s of processed meat. Hormel brands include; Applegate Natural & Organic Meat and Farmer John Meats.

Hormel made a comment after the video was uploaded last Thursday – “We are extremely disappointed and concerned to see the recently released undercover video detailing instances of aggressive animal handling and employee insensitivity at one of our supplier facilities.”

Hormel has promised to improve the standards if its suppliers and began by telling QPP to provide better training to both its employers and employees.

“We will be in full compliance with Hormel’s recommendations,” ate Jansen, QPP’s vice president of human resources and quality services, told Reuters.

The Department Of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) stated that they want to “aggressively investigate the case and take appropriate action.” FSIS added that if it turns out that the video is in fact true then “The actions depicted in the video under review are completely unacceptable.”

Erica Meier, executive director of Compassion Over Killing, said to Reuters that it was all filmed by a contractor working with them who earlier applied for a job at the slaughterhouse. The recordings were taken secretly.

Going back to the USDA’s pilot program that I mentioned earlier, according to Meier “The fact that there aren’t USDA inspectors there prevents them from taking immediate action.”

Hormel’s website claims that the pigs in the video were actually stunned properly, stating that “No breathing, natural blinking or a righting reflex” would indicate that they are passed out.

And just because we are nice to you, here is another video from the inside of a different Hormel-exclusive slaughter house.

  1. humans shouldnt even exist….destroying everything.. no respect… i like pork products but this is…. at least if they pigs has to die…for no reason just to satisfy our hunger…they should die with no pain… humans are sick creatures… some of them even worse…

  2. I believe that all farming produce should be free range, grass fed and organic and above all when it comes time, the animal should be calmly walked into a seperate area where no other animals are watching and killed humanely as possible! No wonder why most meat today doesn’t taste like real meat, locking them up in cages, filling them with hormones and torturing them! I only eat meat about twice a month!

    • You fuckin seriuos?? killing is killing.. stop being a hypocrite and blnded by your own specist illness. this is a massacre… its like saying oh i only let my neighboor get raped twice a month..

      • ridiculous…. there is no reason to be cruel but nature…including those pigs that can make a human body disappear real fast, is far worse than man… everything eats and many things (including man) are designed to survive on meat of other creatures. no vegetarian creature would evolve intelligence, and you will notice that all vegetarian animals are prey with limited intelligence and docile demeanor ….. simple fact of nature. it is telling that we have developed a society that has members that cannot accept their own nature and vilify their own species for surviving.. i am sorry but i cannot fathom what world vegetarians think the live in and vegans are simply unstable personalities…. how much self hatred can a society hold and not collapse.

  3. Honestly completely sickening….I really hope that soon that governments worldwide will reform slaughterhouse’s treatment of their animals.

  4. Disgusting

  5. After watching this video I felt like vomiting. I don’t think I have ever seen a more ghastly display, and I don’t think I can ever eat another pork product again. I also did a little research, and it turns out that Hormel doesn’t exactly have a shiny reputation either. The company has had worker and strike problems in the past, and the strikes have resulted in people being killed to protect their jobs or families. Knowing that corporate greed dictates how these food processing companies operate, it’s no surprise to learn that the situation has degraded to a point where we can see only the politics in operation. Extremely powerful interests have allowed this to happen, and these powerful interests have taken steps to ensure their operation is protected from inspection or investigation. Compassion and discipline are right out the window here. My suggestion? It’s not enough to understand how the meat is being processed, do some research into the companies, and learn the truth of the operation. The problem has to be stopped at the source.
