Give Clean Water To Kids With Your Cellphone

7

You can save a child’s life, by simply putting down your phone. Yes, you read right. For every 10 minutes you stay away from your phone, you will unlock a sponsor’s donation. The funds raised will be used for water, sanitation and hygiene programs in countries with the most need.

At http://uniceftapproject.org you can do just that. Give clean water to a child in need by taking a challenge to not touch your phone. The longer you go without your phone the more you can help UNICEF to provide clean water for children.

In fact, 10 minutes can provide a child with clean water for a day. So every minute count. Keep going!

When you can’t resist any longer our sponsors and donors a donation will make a to donation to the UNICEF Tap Project based on the time you went without your phone.

Take the UNICEF Tap Project Challenge and go without your cell phone to give clean water to kids.

Water is life. Yet 768 million people do not have access to safe, clean drinking water, and 2.5 billion people live without proper sanitation. When water is unsafe and sanitation non-existent, water can kill.

Take the UNICEF Tap Project Challenge and go without your cell phone to give clean water to kids.

In this video, you will learn how the 2014 Tap Project Challenge works and how you can help provide clean water to kids all around the world by putting your phone down:

  1. Barry, they need to do more than proofread their page. They stole this and didn’t credit the author who emailed this to them.

  2. Great idea! The only bad thing is, that the counter stops when the screen
locks. I think this could be fixed with an extra app. I’ll definitely try it out.

  3. It is supposed to be a human right to have access to clean drinking water right? Now that statement is a fucking joke… Because the reality is that people only have access to clean water if they have access to money, now that’s something totally different…
It’s so wrong to say that clean drinking water is a human right.(and not live up to it)
It should be a human right though! But then nestle needs to be stopped pumping up all the (free) clean water and sell it for money, and will run out of business because of that, so i don’t see that happening very soon…
Nevertheless this is a good idea to support the ones in need! Just as long nestle won’t make a profit out of this… Is it known where they are going to buy the water?

    • How long before Nestle starts to sell us canisters of oxygen??
Or the goverments start to impose an oxygen tax. You wanna breathe this fucking air, you better pay up! Or get the fuck off the planet!.
