At an IKEA location in Cologne, Germany they are testing a new idea, the “dog parking lot,” which is a safe area where dogs can hang out while their owners are shopping in the store.
Each dog has its own space, with fake grass, water and a secure place to tie a leash
While there have not been any pet facilities to open in other areas, the company is planning to hopefully implement this idea worldwide.
Last week we reported that a new state law in Tennesse protects citizens from being sued if they are freeing a pet from a hot car.
Professional football player Tyrann Mathieu recently locked himself in a hot car to simulate what the experience is like for a dog. The demonstration was a part of a public service announcement to raise awareness about how dangerous a hot car can be for any living creature.

funny how private ppl find solutions to help ppl, officials finds solutions to keep them in power.. this is something they should have made as a law instead of making a murder as a law. In Denmark, it’s not about if you got a dog or a cat, it’s a matter about race. if it’s a pitbull, then it’s the wrong race and if it’s a pup, it’ll loose it’s life. This is a great idea, which should’ve come from the government if they shall come up with any ideas about animals! i love the idea that my dog are next to another, so they always have new experiences and talk to each other!! and ppl have no excuse for leaving their dog in the car and no ppl shall judge what they don’t understand!! of course it right amount of space have to be there in order to prevent another dog attack or to respect each dog! but i hope it’ll come to Denmark and our dogs will have their freedom and a choice. and not some fuckhead say it’s a pitbull then it’s a pitbull and it will be euthanized bc of some race..
Looks like a hoax to me. Both Ikeas in Cologne don’t mention anything about this on their webpages, and somehow I don’t remember the surroundings of both to look like this – although it has been a while since I’ve been to one of them.
