  1. Observing a phenomena does not mean that you have a solution for it, especially when your solution is moar socialism. Capitalism did not cause this, Fascism did, our government has not run a lassie faire economy since before the federal reserve, it has regulated and manipulated every aspect it could get away with, while swindling more and more of the workers with socialist promises and pipedreams which amount to nothing because eventually the system WILL run out of money and everyone will suffer. it doesnt matter how much any one group has, what matters is that everyone has the equal opportunity for success and failure. its immoral to steal, even if you’re voting for the government to do it for you like most

    • don’t even bother man, everyone on this site are brainwashed extreme leftists, they can’t seem to understand the huge benefits of capitalism, all they see is “innequality”, inequality my ass, get off your computer and go work extra hours

        • You have Capitalism and Corporatism confused. We haven’t had Capitalism since 1913. It doesn’t matter what ISM you have if your government is corrupt and takes bribes I mean special interest money.

        • Best possiple monetary outcome. Profit maximization. Free Markets may have weaknesses but they come from the weakness within the moral of each individual. Especially those in positions of power and wealth.
          Bribing is one em (weakness).

      • Hi! I’m a small business owner (or used to be) in Manitoba, like Canada eh! You know Canada right…. the place that didn’t have any banks fail during the last financial crisis, or any during the great depression either. We had SEVEN balanced budgets in a row during the Bush error . I laughed, and then got pretty damn mad/sad when during your health-care debates when we were being described as on the edge of bankruptcy, a “Socialist Hell-Hole” is what I heard one fat-ass ignorant (or lying bastard) senator say. Sad because the American people hadn’t the faintest idea what truth even smelled like. STEALING??? Sounds like a bloody Randroid! How about this… a social contract agreed upon by peers for the mutual benefit of all? So, why am I no longer a small business owner? Because I had a catastrophic illness that would have killed me if I had to rely on the kind coverage of one of your insurance companies. How much does a month in I.C. and two in rehab cost? I haven’t the faintest idea, but I can tell you that my meds cost $1200 a month (Canadian of course). A lot of money, but we can afford it easily because we’ve decided to prioritize certain things, like life. As for myself, I’m incredibly grateful and feel a deep obligation to do what I can to pay back the society that saved me. I do what I can, which these days means recycling and refurbishing junked computers and giving them to people who can’t afford one, that and nature photography. You’ve been trained to perceive Socialism as a dirty word, but look at it… social, society… social-ism…

Wasn’t E Plurbus Unum your thing long time ago? Whatever happened to that?

        • Well, you got some points there and i understand you´re feeling insulted by people dragging your country (with lotta good benefits and characteristics) into the mud. But don´t mix up the spiritual socialism with the monetary system. We all know what happened to russia and the GDR now being part of my country. State-directed-economy simply doesn´t work. Don´t get me wrong i´m glad we reunited but the way it was implemented was a pure catastrophe and injustice at its finest. Great parts of our state debt are caused by the foul implementation of that process and we all have to pay for that… sooner or later

      • I sometimes work over 80 hours a week and have a college degree. Do you honestly think the Kardashians and Paris Hilton work harder than me and therefore deserve more?

    • And yes Bernie the money may run out eventually especially when trillions are spent to keep US wars going in numerous countries. These trillions that are spent are lining the pockets of the corporations that feed off of human misery i.e Big OIl, Big Pharm, Big Armaments. Yes, capitalism, that’s what is represented in every war…..just ask that Dick Cheney.
Oh yeah, just ask your returning vets about the thanks they get for fighting the corporate wars…what was that figure last week?….50,000 homeless vets in the US. Wake up man. Stop toeing the corporate line.

    • I think we are so lucky we live here instead of over there. Let them lie as much as they want about our country. The problem they have is the rich don’t want to help pay for the poor guy to be taken care of, they would rather keep their money and let the poor suffer or die. The uproar over Obama care came from people with money not the people without. Their main argument was over “Why should my taxes be raised to pay for someone elses health care, why should i be responsible for people who can’t afford it. If they get sick that’s their problem.” They keep saying how much we Canadians pay in taxes and how much goes to health care in our country but so what, at least if something should happen (like it did you) we never have to worry about paying for it. People in the U.S have lost everything and live in the streets because they got sick and it wasn’t necessarily life threatening. I have no problem paying high taxes as long as we (and i mean every Canadian) has one thing less to worry about. Let the U.S government lie about Canada all they want. There’s a saying ” Every time i hear a mean joke about being Canadian, I can go to the hospital and get my feelings checked for free” If they want to be greedy and selfish and not care about the next guy let them. The fact that Trump is winning in some states doesn’t surprise me any and that should also say a lot of some of the people in that country. If we had someone like that trying to be PM he would have been tossed out on his ass a long time ago. That country is going to be it’s own undoing.

      • I’m not rich and I still don’t want to pay taxes to cover anyone else’s health care. You don’t live here so you have no idea what the welfare state has created. Thousands of able bodied people who can work and choose not to because the government will take care of their needs from food to housing to cell phones to health care. Get a job. Any job. Show you’re trying and contributing and maybe then I would agree to a little help. I will share my money as I see fit to help those in need. The government should not take it from me because they know best. And by the way, the first sentence of this article had such a blundering typo it gave me pause to really consider the intelligence of the writer. Not one comment so far has been without grammatical error.

      • I didn’t come from money but uproared over Obama Care. Why because it doesn’t address the cost of healthcare. Why a five dollar bag of saline solution cost two hundred dollars. And because it was an attempt to look like universal healthcare when it wasn’t. You guys in Canada and Australia are doing it right. Maybe you can teach Washington how it’s done.

    You failed.
