2014 Top Ten Searched Keywords on Google

15

As we know by the end every year Google releases the top most searched keywords on Google search engine. And as Google being used all over the globe, it has dominance in the search engine industry. So without further ado here is the list.

Top searches in the United States of America:

  • Robin Williams
  • World Cup
  • Ebola
  • Malaysia Airlines
  • ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
  • ISIS
  • Ferguson
  • Frozen
  • Ukraine

Top searches around the world:

  • Robin Williams
  • World Cup
  • Ebola
  • Malaysia Airlines
  • ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
  • Flappy Bird
  • Conchita Wurst
  • ISIS
  • Frozen
  • Sochi Olympics

The top five searches are the same in both the list. Robin Williams was a great actor and it was extremely sad to hear about his death in August. Then the world cup became second most searched discussion on Google and we will all remember that happy, crazy, enthusiastic kid from YouTube. And then there was Ebola that struck our hearts with fear according to a report by the World Health Organization (18th December 2014) there were a total of 20,206 people who were infected with Ebola and 7905 people who left this earth fighting the horrible disease. And then there was Malaysia Airlines that had a flight plan from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Malaysia) to Beijing Capital International Airport (China) it was a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, flight MH370 made the last contact with the air traffic control at 01:19 MYT – 17:19 UTC, 7th March – when it flew over South China Sea. But after its tragedy there was the ALS ice bucket challenge that was being done for a good cause and was successful in raising a good amount of money for Lou Gehrig disease. Flappy bird which took the gaming market by surprise with its colorful 2D graphics and simple tap touch control play brought gamers back to basics.

At the end I am simply going to say from landing our rovers on comets to creating films that grossed over $1 billon in profit. We reached the far end of the universe yet still lacked the basic treatment for fighting a disease that can end our life. And yet we still feel accomplished.  2014 taught us a great deal of things. With all that happened I hope that in 2015 we would do our best.

  1. Infowars.com talk about Ebola interestingly. They do have the treatment, they can do more to help but it’s all just part of “the plan” for de-population…
