Marriage of Neccessity: Russia Sells China Its Most Advanced Jets, Knowing That China Could Copy It

Turkey’s NATO-sanctioned act of bringing down a Russian jet, followed by the execution of the ejected pilot and the downing of one of its rescue helicopters by a US TOW missile, has precipitated in a raft of Russian-sanctioned sanctions against it(including the restriction of the kind of goods it is allowed to bring to Russia, the ban of charter trips to Turkey, and restrictions on the employment of Turkish nationals within Russia).

Russia is Turkey’s second largest trading partner, and it’s sure to feel the effects of the sanctions. Turkey has yet refused to apologize for its part in the matter, Erdogan being as stubborn as he has been hypocritical (when it comes to when and where a jet can or should be shot down anyway), no matter the cost to his country, likely because the US has shown support for both Turkey’s and the FSA’s actions against Russia.

As Russia moves a cruiser in to defend its aircraft from any future “threats” ( probably anybody dumb enough to venture across the Syrian border for a period longer than 17 seconds, or within the vicinity of a Russian jet), NATO’s solidarity against Russia has only brought Russia that much closer to China, a relationship that has already become very friendly:

Just a few days before its jet was downed, Russia had agreed to sell 24 SU-35s to China.

Ostentatiously, Russia has suddenly decided to sell these”cutting-edge” SU-35s to China as a result of  America’s actions in Asia, a view shared by experts like Conn Halinan from Foreign Policy in Focus who believes that the aircraft is being sold to balance out similar US sales of jets to its allies in the region. It should be noted that the SU-35s are supposedly one of the best and most advanced in the world, with a suite of advanced tech… a  strong upgrade for China and on par with the US-made F-35. Russia on the one hand has an ally covering its back, paying for its planes… while China on the other hand certainly needs these planes and their tech if it intends to stay ahead. Win-win, right?

Not quite; the Chinese are simultaneously developing their own jet: The Chengedu J-20, and China has been known to copy Russian tech, with the J-11 and J-11B allegedly based on the SU-27. Similar deals had previously fallen through as a result, when Russia “got cold feet”.

Russia did not get cold feet this time, and the sale shows that Russia is willing to send its best warplane tech to China, knowing full well that the Chinese will probably use it to upgrade their own soon-to-be mass-produced variants. The timing of the sale shows that Russia has realized that it has little choice but to aid China, with a deal that disproportionately benefits the middle kingdom, so that both countries can balance out NATO if it came to that.

The downing of the Russian jet a few days after should have solidified that alliance in Putin’s mind.

  1. It’s the answer for espionage… take exploited things for lots of money… eheheh
I remember that china sold applicances to russia exploited…
The news run fast in this world… is it a form of energy through the ocean internet cables…
    checkpoint

  2. This sale is a warning sign for India because China can use these Su-35s against India and China will use them in support of Pakistan in the situation of a military confrontation between India and Pakistan

  3. all seems to be taking us towards WW III. It’s scary to think of the technological advancements since WW II and what an all out war may look like

  4. I am sure Russia has the Next Generation up it sleeve. But the Russian Chinese alliance is essential to uphold the liberties and way of life of the Free World against the tyranny of the US-NATO-Islam Axis that has been building momentum for more than forty years.

    • did you honestly put China and Russia in the same sentence as “liberties”? I can not think of a word that does not fit those two countries more!!!
Oh and by the way, US is part of NATO.. so that would be a Nato/Islam Axis? I thought it was a US/EU/Israel Axis before, now its Islam. Im confused I can never keep up with the conspiracies going on between them all, or to be more precise, the ones going on in your head.

      • I don’t think that liberty goes along with US as well… but I rather have a world dominated by Chinese and Russians than having a corrupt and fake Obama Bin Laden controlling the world ….

Do you really think liberty goes along with the very own countries that are supposed to protect you? Like the US and some EU countries who are making business with ISIS for their petrol? Do you really think they are the ones who are going to offer you freedom ???

If what Putin said is right, about the countries making bizos with ISIS …. then the only axis you have is ISIS… Israel is not participating, at least in a way where it impacts the current state of things… but then you can say the US are funding and furnishing guns to Israel so …. the axis you have is ISIS-EU(some countries) and China-Russia …

  5. I see this as the next step to massive culling of the masses. The countries have stopped listening to its people and making laws that are against the will of the people, and if you have any other idea of whats going on in the world, please share it.
