At approximately 3am local time Sunday morning, a police officer was shot and killed in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office have yet to identify the slain officer or the suspect attached to the shooting. A motive for the killing has yet to be provided either but the Tampa Bay Times did report that the victim was a Tarpon Springs police officer.
The only known suspect fled the scene of the shooting before crashing their vehicle into a telephone pole and another vehicle. The suspect was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody, according to police.
This marks the 3rd officer to be shot in killed in the United States in 24 hours, after two NYPD officers were killed on a Brooklyn street corner Saturday afternoon.
No other details have been provided at this time.

I have a great hatred for all police organizations all over the world. I never understood their role really, they can’t defend themselves but supposed to protect others? If someone wants to do any harm to anybody I do not think an officer will appear out of nowhere just to stop it. These guys are living the biggest lie ever.
My cousin last year was brutalised by the police at the Sydney Mardi Grass, they thought what was gum was instead drugs, the dog handler run past me dragging a confused and bewildered sniffer dog behind him, grabbed my cousin by the through and 7 other through him to the ground and almost killed him, all I could hear in a whizzy voice was “I can’t breath” repeatedly, I yelled for them to get off him but they just continued, after in the police bus when under questioning, they falsely added that my cousin had gotten a police officer “a good one” meaning that my cousin had punched the officer, a complete lie!…they said in there statement then the dog market him, a complete lie! That he resisted arrest, more lie’s! These are the people that are supposed to uphold the law yet they have no shred of respect for it, they brake it to cover their illegal actions…Mardi Grass has always been a happy, fee of violence event but not last year the police brought all the violence with them! My cousin was not an isolated insolent there were many more!

Cops, criminals, doesn’t matter. When you’re facing a loaded gun whats the real difference? Both will tie you up (rope or cuffs) take your money (you’re actual wallet or exorbitant fines and ‘restitution’), or take your life (shooting you or shooting you) Those who commit violence deserve to die violently.
There is no justification or excuse for murder, regardless of who the victim is.
