Here’s an Updated List-by-Year of All Major U.S. Wars

13

A couple of years ago, those at Activist Post reported on a compiled list-by-year of each American war, and now that 2016 has come and gone, and there’s been a change of oligarchical puppets in the White House, we’ve provided an update to the Activist Post’s list below.

After 240 years, the United States can only boast a dreadful 21-years of peace (if you don’t count slavery). The following four facts were listed, and they’re still valid in 2017:

Pick any year since 1776 and there is about a 91% chance [more now] that America was involved in some war during that calendar year.

No U.S. president truly qualifies as a peacetime president. Instead, all U.S. presidents can technically be considered “war presidents.” [This now includes Trump]

The U.S. has never gone a decade without war.

The only time the U.S. went five years without war (1935-40) was during the isolationist period of the Great Depression.

      • They fell from within because they did not anticipate the blow-back of enveloping so many conflicting territories under their own skin. They managed to keep a balance for a while with their form of politics, but they could not sustain the bribes and promises that brought those fractious groups together, and were slow to allow the wealth created by the people to also be enjoyed by them…. We are coming up to yet another such inflection point, where prosperous wealth is so much more rare than food you can grow/raise/hunt (and yes, people become “food” really quickly under the right circumstances) and the constraints of civil society so unsatisfying to our drives that it will not take all that much to push people to the point of just cashing out, and fading into the bush.

  1. This list is not accurate. The Cold War era CIA proxy war in Jamaica began in 1976, and lasted at least into the early 1980’s. I’m from Jamaica. You couldn’t miss these white CIA agents in a country where 92 percent of the people are Black and 6 percent mixed.

Look it up. Books have been written and documentaries made on the subject. The US Government felt that the Jamaica Government under Prime Minister Michael Manley was too closely aligned ideologically and in actuality with Fidel Castro’s regime. We had Cuban assistance in Jamaica with infrastructure and healthcare. There are still several schools in Jamaica that were built by Cuba as gifts to the people of Jamaica from Castro. One is actually named after a Cuban revolutionary, José Marti, and is located just outside of Jamaica’s first capital city, Spanish Town. Russian cars named “Lada” were ubiquitous.

Jamaica is a track powerhouse. Most people know that. But what most people don’t know is that Jamaica’s first tertiary institution that specializes in sports training, athletic development and the like, was built by Cuba. My cousin who is now a Phd in sports medicine in Connecticut, attended that college. It’s name is G.C. Foster College, located not too far from Spanish Town, Saint Catherine Parish in Jamaica.

The US Government simply couldn’t tolerate a second Cuba, Jamaica, in its backyard. They destabilized the Manley Government using a laundry list of propaganda tools, bribery, extortion, and financial penalties through the IMF, World Bank and other international organizations.

But worse than that, the CIA was instrumental in igniting and fanning the flames of political divisions in Jamaica during that time, and flooding the country with guns and ammunition. They supported Edward Seaga, leader of the opposition party – The Jamaica Labour Party, and he was, from that point forward their man/puppet. What resulted was the bloodiest election in Jamaica’s history, the blood bath of 1980. But leading up to that crescendo of violence was a dramatic rise in the daily, annual body count from political operations because of the CIA proxy war.

Immediately after Seaga “won” the 1980 election and replaced Manley as PM, Jamaica received millions of dollars in aid from the US and IMF. Everything that I’ve mentioned, albeit the proverbial tip of the iceberg, is publicly available. Look at Jamaica’s foreign aid numbers on the country’s budgets from 1976 to 1985. You’ll see the difference. Always follow the money! Sorry for the lengthy response. Peace!

    • This list leaves out a lot of conflicts, and also leaves out the roles we played in them. For example Libya. The US fomented, trained, armed, and tasked “Al Quada”, “ISIS” or whatever group (I don’t bother with the names the moment I hear about CIA/NATO/State Department/WINSEC/Pentagon involvement of any kind) that was opposing Gaddafi. Our “official” involvement was fighting back Gaddafi’s forces when they amassed to take down the CIA Annex (the command and control center for NATO/CIA/State Dept (Hillary)’s forces in Libya) and maintaining “no-fly zone/air support for ISIS” over Libya.

  2. You people crack me up ?. Ok now give me a list for every other super power in the world. I’d put $100 on it they and I mean all the super power have a similar record. You would be a moron to think otherwise.

  3. Forgot the Boxer Rebellion in China 1899-1901. I’m sure there are others. One would have to read a lot of books and period newspapers to get the whole picture.
