Leading Arms Manufacturers Rush To Defend Saudi Arabia, Brush Off Human Rights Violations

In yet another sign that “defense contractors” is really Orwellian Newspeak for “warmongers”, representatives from major weapons companies (whose hi-tech tools of death are being rained down upon innocent Yemenis killing scores of civilians) rushed to defend the human rights record of Saudi Arabia in a panel discussion held in Washington DC.

An executive with Lockheed Martin, named Ronald L. Perrilloux Jr., complained of an atmosphere of “hostile media reports” which were “patently false” that were affecting Congress’s willingness to massacre innocents.

“Another significant irritant,” Perrilloux said, “is the application of human rights laws” with regards to Saudi Arabia Kuwait and the UAE, despite the fact that they were “better partners to us than some of our NATO allies”;  our allies in the middle east it seems are being unfairly judged and their actions should not be comparable with Chinese human rights abuses… what a load of crap.

When was the last time you heard of China capturing a child protester, torturing for years, and then threatening to behead AND crucify him?  And that your definition of “better partners” are a people who does this to its own people, while bombing Yemeni schools and  slaughtering 131 wedding-attendees is very telling indeed. I hope someone significantly irritates you in the a**.

The source of this man’s irritation happens to have been a recent move by Democrats to block arms transfers to Saudi Arabia because of the sheer number of civilians being killed in their strikes (yet Russia is evil, though there isn’t a single credible civilian death so far despite weeks of bombings).

Boeing’s paid-troll and vice president, Jeffrey Kohler, added that “We ought be encouraging that type of cooperation and facilitating and helping them with the gaps instead of just throwing stones.” Yeah… I mean, look at how we’re hurting them with our tiny little stones… let’s save the stones as well as the heavy weapons for the Yemeni kids eh?

Perrilloux continued, saying that “the biggest thing we can do to help them finish the job is to provide them with the benefit of our experiences, with training of their forces, and probably replenishment of their forces.”

Saudi Arabia has drastically increased its number of executions in recent times, and also deployed its police to suppress its minorities. Boeing supplies Saudi Arabia’s F-15 jets while Lockheed Martin supplies the F-16 to Saudi ally the UAE. Both countries are using their jets to bomb Yemeni civilians in order to prop up their favored puppet government.

Schools, weddings, refugee camps, markets and apartment buildings have been targets of these bombings. Amnesty International has documented that the bombings have killed 100 people- half of whom were children. Children!

The two companies have profited immensely from the carnage; The Congressional Research Service has stated that between October 2010 and October 2014, four short years, the US govt has approved some 90 BILLION dollars worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia.

What’s 50 children for a slice of that pie?

That Saudi Arabia gets to head the UN Human Rights Council is the greatest of all ironies… as long as psychopaths make the decisions, and there’s money to be made in murder, Saudi Arabia will get its jets and Yemeni kids will die.
