Why Has Mexico, Like Many Governments, Given Away FREE TVs?

Tomasa Lopez and her 11-year-old daughter Susana show off the new digital television set they were given at a government distribution center in Mexico City on Aug. 6, 2015. Mexico's government hopes to provide the 24-inch television sets free of charge to some 10 million citizens by the end of the year. (Tim Johnson/McClatchy DC/TNS)

It’s an all-American Dream™ come true! Only problem is that it’s happening in Mexico. Oh well, those Mexicans need their American Dream™s too!

They’re giving away FREE TVs over there, and I know what you’re thinking:

No no… mayb- NO!

You’re thinking:

“Isn’t this socialism?”

Well, it’s not, because the whole point of the free TVs is to indoctrinate people with government and corporate propaganda, so it’s actually 100% capitalistastic! Told you it was the American Dream™ (come to think of it, the US had ALSO rolled out a similar program that had cost some 8 billion bucks in 2009)!

The Mexican government has gone and spent a staggering 1.6 billion dollars on these TVs, because being poor and starving and shot up by drug dealers and drugs sure doesn’t mean you get to miss out on all that propaganda!

Apparently the Mexican government is hoping to replace existing analog televisions with digital-receiving ones.

“I am happy,” Lopez, a domestic servant, said. “We’ve always wanted a digital television. We’ll see more channels. The kids will see cartoons.” Yesssss watch those cartoonsssss… Don’t worry about politicssss just watch the cartoooonsss. That feeling of emptinesss in your soul and your belly needsss to be filled with cartoonsss.

Mexico is not alone, Argentina and other nations have also given away televisions. However, none have done so on quite as grand a scale as the Mexican government has.

Television manufacturers in Mexico stand to gain from this big giveaway (with allegations of graft determining which former-drug-dealer got the chance to churn these things out). And obviously the great producers of propaganda stand to gain millions of new consumers for their advertisements.  Win-win!

In order to introduce some semblance of “competition” Mexico is also getting a third propaganda network, because a few HUNDRED channels being run by the other two is clearly insufficient. Mexicans will get to watch another 123 channels… Who has time for ANYTHING with that many channels? There’s BOUND to be a channel devoted to gardening, rock-climbing, marathon-sleeping… Who has the time or energy to DO anything anymore?

Think I’m kidding when I call TVs propaganda outlets? Well, one CIA experimenter named José M. Delgado had proven that exposure to the sort of electromagnetic waves emitted by televisions caused a sort of psychological connection to form between human and animal test subjects and TVs. This connection was formed because the electromagnetic waves would cause nurons to sync up with the frequency of these waves.

This connection causes people to be more susceptible to suggestion, and trust news anchors, advertisers and editorial boards… Well, that explains why people still watch Faux- I mean Fox News… and also how Bieber and celebrity-worship is still a thing.

OMNI Megazine wrote the following on Delgado’s work:

Remarkably, these EMFs are several hundred times below the voltage needed for an electrode to trigger a nerve to fire. According to theory, they should have no impact. Yet when Delgado aims these fields at an isolated crab neuron already firing at a specific, steady rate, something surprising happens: The neuron changes its firing rate to synchronize with the applied pulses, much as a child sleeping with his mother will begin breathing at the same rate as the parent. This phenomenon is known as entrainment.

“But CoNN, surely all this is just circumstantial evidence! Surely our great and powerful government overlords would NEVER try to hypnotize us into believing lies and buying crap on purpose!” I hear ya, and to that I say watch this video by Caherine Austine Fitts, a former Wall Street bigwig who had worked for George HW Bush:

  1. This “article” is some real tinfoil hat BS.

I was beginning to think that Anonymous was an organization that was able to make a rational case for change…..but you keep printing crap like this and I will join the throngs that think you are lunatic domestic terrorists.

  2. I like how there’s an advertisement at the end of a video against subliminal messages – specifically mentioning subliminal advertisements.

  3. The big difference with the T.V media is that the viewer is pacified because of physical & communication distance so not surprising less chance of uprising, happenings . Whereas today it is the internet that information spreads like wild fire, communication & organisation for events can be spontaneous & real time (remember the London riots in 2011) happenings can be arranged very quickly so the viewer can be an active participant very similar in the way radio was King as a person was communication in real time & before T.V media became more common place.
