Queensland couple Kate and David Ogg had twins, one son and a daughter, on March 25, 2010. The first-time parents’ happiness was, however, cut-short by the news that their son had stopped breathing and did not survive. The heartbroken mother held on to her son while her husband climbed into the hospital bed to hold the lifeless child for a tender embrace.

While the duo was cradling the child in their arms, they felt their son’s lifeless body move – he gasped for air and opened his eyes. Hospital staff rushed back to his aid and together brought the baby back to life. Two hours later, he drank a drop of breast milk from his mother’s finger. Doctors, still in disbelief, insisted that Jamie would be brain damaged and could not have a normal life – today Jamie is an intelligent, happy and healthy child.
Jamie and Emily are now five years old and their parents have told them and the rest of the world of the miraculous story. “He is an avid football player, he can head the ball like no-one else. He’s sensitive and loving and smart – just like his brother and sister,” Kate said.

Glad these parents never gave up. I’m also glad that they aren’t crediting his life to an imaginary person and to the actually elements that revived him, love and body heat. Respect.
