U.S. Airports are Crashing!

1

Several thousands of people choose the “flying” method for their long distance travels. It is faster than driving, and they can still perform their jobs while in flight. However, recently people have been delayed on their flights as the airports across America are crashing.

These computer crashings are being reported from the J.F.K International Aiport in New York City, L.A. International Airport, Logan International Airport in Boston, and even the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. There have been reports from other parts of America including Seattle, Charlotte and even Baltimore are having issues with their computers crashing, causing several delays on flights.

While the crashes of the international airports show no sign of malicious intent, the Department of Homeland Security computer system was also affected by the outages. The DHS computer system operates by screening passengers and comparing them to the nations terrorist watch list. While the computers where down for 90 minutes, the CBP officers where utilizing alternative methods of screening international travelers.

While the attack on the computers was out all across America, the “Glitch” appeared to have been mostly targeting the Border Protection computers.
Of course, since the computers where down and the CBP officers where screening by hand, several passengers where reporting that the immigration checkpoints where at a complete standstill. Other passengers were in fear of missing connections and stated that the airport informed them it could take hours before the computer situation was fully resolved.

Emirates Airline customers where posting the check-in counter at JFK was down. It is unknown if the incident at JFK Airport is related or connected somehow to the other computer crashes at the other international airports.

Many of the passengers were having to wait as much as 3 hours before getting their luggage back, and another 5 hours to hear their flights are not taking off. While the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was working hard to repair the glitches in the computers Saturday morning.

Although, through all of the insanity, humanity has not lost touch with themselves. All over the airports, people where helping other people and maintaining a positive attitude.

While the FAA had to temporarily halt any and all departures for all planes, they have yet to come forward with the issue and as to why the issue had arisen.

While the issue started in Washington, the repercussions had been felt nationwide. All over the U.S. was down for just over an hour and more than 3,400 delays and another 640 flights had been canceled on Saturday morning.

While the flights grounded where delayed, and some canceled, the flights in air was also affected. The in-flight airlines that had high altitude traffic was diverted around the center’s airspace.

Looking into the popular website, flightradar24.com, shows that the airspace was getting fuller by 1:30pm. However, planes leaving the Washington area where kept upon an elevation of 10,000 feet or lower.

With the Department of Homeland security down, and all of the glitches across the United States, there is still no sign of any “Hack” affiliated with the nationwide glitch at major international airports. The glitch had even affected the computers in which were used for passengers to check it.

With several staff stating that this issue has never arise before, the entire airlines are at a complete standstill until the situation has been resolved. This issue was apparently severe to the extent that you couldn’t walk up to the immigration agent without being put down as a suspect. By 9pm, the glitch in the computers had been resolved and airports where near full operation. There are two things in which the Airlines and customs are confused about. The first issue is that there was no indication as to the systems going out. The computers just shut down without any means of a warning. The second issue that had arise is the lack of knowledge as to the whereabouts in which the glitch happened.

Government officials are looking into the case and considering this a terrorist attack. However, there is no indication of any hacker gaining access to the computers at any of the airlines. There also appears to be no script or program used to crash the computers nationwide either. Making the situation appear to have been a complete nationwide system crash for all major international airports. However, just a few short weeks ago, the IHDS sent out a broadcast in which stated that they would target airlines in Africa. Could they have stated that so it was a diversion for American based airlines?
