We have officially reached Orwellian times, my fellow Anons. In an effort to censor and suppress independent media, the state of North Dakota has issued an arrest warrant for journalist and producer, Amy Goodman, of Democracy Now! for covering the attacks on Native-American protestors at the Dakota Pipeline.

The warrant is supposedly for “criminal trespassing,” which is nothing more than a misdemeanor offense, however the truth of the matter is; this is an attack on independent media, as well as a punishment for Amy Goodman—who was merely doing her job—and it’s being used as a means to further keep Democracy Now! out.

In a statement from Goodman:

This is an unacceptable violation of freedom of the press. I was doing my job by covering pipeline guards unleashing dogs and pepper spray on Native American protesters.”

Goodman announced on Sunday that she received the warrant, which carries a maximum penalty of $500 and a 30-day jail sentence. Thirty-eight others have been arrested at the protests, according to reports, and Green Party presidential nominee, Jill Stein, now has a warrant for her arrest as well, for painting “I approve this message” on the blade of a bulldozer at the invitation of activists, which you have to admit, is pretty freakin’ punk-rock for a presidential nominee. Whereas Hillary tries to win the younger generation over with embarrassing, superficial tactics, Stein goes out and protests like a boss, incorporating non-violent, old-school tactics in an effort to deliver the biggest slap to Big Oil that our Orwellian-system will allow without executing us—spray painting a piece of machinery. The judge probably wet himself with glee signing that warrant.

Democracy is dead.
