Those eggs you’re eating come at a price – the lives of thousands of baby male chicks every year.
While eggs from hens are normally thought of as a ‘safe’ food for vegetarians to indulge in, a dark secret of the industry is finally being realized: that male chicks born of hens in factory farms are either gassed or ground to death once born.
Activists in Israel decided they couldn’t idly stand by while this horror continued, therefore, took action by breaking into a hatchery and stopping the machine that grinds male baby chicks alive. (See the video above)
As they were trespassing, they were arrested by the police. But before they left the premise involuntarily, they dared the cop to turn back on the machine that grinds the poor chicks… Could he do it? Absolutely not.

You don’t have to be vegan, just choose a small local sustainable farm that raises their chickens humanely! I raise eggs, no cages, no grinding babies based on sex…my girls have names and lay eggs for years and have names. There are many farms like me – one near you I’m sure, by supporting small AG and refusing to buy from large producers you will force them out of business. Raising animals for meat or products doesn’t have to be a problem, HOW it’s done is important!

There is no such thing as ‘humane farming’. Animals were not put on this earth for human exploitation or consumption. VEGAN is the answer to our compassion and environmental issues globally.

You might want to do a little research. Vegans/vegetarians are more than capable of finding plant based versions of these “meat only” sourced essential vitamins. Yes, it’s in a supplement form but it is possible to find them.
Then why do they taste so good? Good and bad taste is based on our brains telling us what it needs and doesn’t need. Foodso that taste bad to you taste bad to you because your body doesn’t want or need what’s in it. If it wasn’t for the practice of eating meat humanity would not have survived the ice age and you wouldn’t be here to tell meat eaters it’s bad. If it wasn’t for learning to cook said meat our bodies could not have had the excess calories for our brains to evolve to the point it is today we would still be as dumb as a cave man. (Assuming we somehow survived the ice age without meat)

This is insane. Please do not allow this to continue. The bible states thy shall not kill.Please stop this there has to be another way to handle this problem. They don’t deserve this.

The bible says “Thou shalt not MURDER”, doesn’t say anything is wrong with killing. Criminal homicide has taking different meaning these days… but if you don’t know the difference between murder and killing you have a serious problem.

so im christian and i believe in the bible but “thou shalt not kill” didnt have to do with animals cause when jesus said “ask and you shall receive” and god blessed the people by giving them fish in the new testament and in the old testament people would sacrifice goats to god but i agree its is wrong to kill baby chicks

No. Because they do not want to die. Vegans do not choose what to eat on the basis of cuteness. Meateaters do this. Will eat pigs but are horrified when people eat dogs
im a christian and i believe in the bible but the commandment “thou shalt not kill” didnt have to do with the animals if you read the bible or watched the tv series in the new testament when Jesus said “ask and you shall receive” god blessed the people with fish and in the old testament people would give goat sacrifices and when adam and eve birth to Cain and Abel,Abel would give offerings of his finest meat to god
Your bible also says you have dominion over all beasts and they were put here for you to use. You’re just cherry-picking there. Your bible also contains instructions on how to own a slave and states rape victims have to marry their attacker. Oppose the practice in this story by all means, I’m with you on that. But please, please, realise your bible is also brutal if you don’t just take the bits you like. Read some other books because that one is far from good.

Free range chickens still get killed after a certain amount of time cos their eggs don’t taste good, I wish people would at least gas them and little chicks, pigs get gassed in Denmark and so do mink on some Euro farms (I would never wear fur), well Ive been a vegetarian for 23 year and I was vegan for 2.5 yrs, I had to start eating veg food cos I lost too much weight , I eat free range eggs, I would love to have my own chickens but I don’t think Id be allowed to have them in my garden, Id love to have my own farm as well (pet pigs, holy cows, sheep and kashmeere goats, no cruelty etc)
Also, scientists should engineer just female chicks, that way there would be no waste, better still, we should all go vegan, that is the only way everyone on the planet is gonna get fed, I feel sorry for these chicks, at least in nature, things are not blown out of proportion (we produce way too many baby chicks, we try to play God , there is too much waste, people eat too much KFC and get unhealthy, a lot of food gets thrown away in restauraunts etc), its sick..Im gonna try being vegan again!!!
