Alberto Nisman, 51, the prosecutor who was found dead on January 18 at his apartment, had drafted a warrant seeking to arrest Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Foreign Minister Hector Timerman and several political supporters of the President. A special prosecutor investigating a 1994 terrorist attack in Buenos Aires, Nisman had accused her of covering up Iran’s role in the bombing of a Jewish community center that left 85 dead and hundreds wounded – the deadliest terrorist attack in Argentina’s history. The draft document, dated June 2014, was found in a trash can in his apartment, lead investigator Viviana Fein said on February 3.
An Argentine newspaper Clarin first published the story, along with the images of the draft, confirming that Nisman indeed thought of asking the arrest of Cristina. The government termed Clarin’s report, which warned the would-be judge that Fernandez, Timerman and President’s supporters could exert pressure on the judicial system, and evidence ‘garbage’. Cristina’s Cabinet chief, Jorge Capitanich, ripped up a copy of the offending article at a press conference calling Nisman’s allegation as crazy, absurd, illogical, irrational, ridiculous, and unconstitutional. Fein, the lead investigator in Nisman’s death, also denied that such an arrest affidavit existed. On February 3, however, she admitted the draft existed and that it was part of the many documents police collected from Nisman’s apartment.
Some Unanswered Questions
Nisman death appeared to be a suicide as a .22-caliber pistol and shell casing were found by his body. But if he had pulled the trigger, a test would have found gunpowder residue on his hands, which it didn’t. Was he murdered because he was scheduled to provide details about his shocking accusations against Cristina before the congressional committee the next day? Why did he dismiss his 10-guard security team just hours before his dead body was discovered?
Investigators said the DNA found on the pistol and Nisman’s clothes matched. Diego Lagomarsino, a former aide to Nisman, told reporters that he had given Nisman the pistol on January 17 because Nisman feared for the safety of his daughters and didn’t trust the security team protecting him. Oh really? A father shot himself with a gun borrowed to protect his daughters? And what exactly could have been the motive Mr Diego?
Nisman’s report pointed to a massive cover-up of culprits of 1994 bombing. Nisman claimed that Cristina helped orchestrate a deal with Iran: Cash-strapped Argentina would get Iranian oil. Iran would get Argentine grain and meat. And the bombing would remain unsolved.
“The most important information in the investigation (by) Nisman is the Argentine government (wants) to take away (Iran’s responsibility in) the bombing of Argentine Israelite Mutual Association. They want to destroy the investigation of the Argentine justice,” opposition congresswoman and the congressional committee chairperson Patricia Bullrich said.
Cristina first called Nisman’s death a suicide. Later she said Nisman, who wanted to disclose potentially damaging and false information about her, was murdered to make her look guilty. A week after Nisman’s dead body was found she called for the dissolution of Argentina’s intelligence service as according to her “the spy service was trying to implicate her in Nisman’s death”. She added that “groups of prosecutors, groups of judges, anonymous informers and also journalists” were all out to destroy her. Goodness gracious!
Nisman’s grave is in the same cemetery where victims of the 1994 explosion are buried. An irony, a coincidence or is it intentional?

funny how this is happening after cristina started to export produce to Russia and also said that if there was ever a terrorist attack look north not east and you will see the truth.
She has been in too long they get this idea that they can be our rulers forever
alex, we suppose you are jocking, aren t you?
Argentina, all the argentinians knows that this is another “job” of government.
EOF
Really, I am Argentinian and I don’t trust that, if you have the solution here, please feel free to write it!
Why it is not a “job” (as you said) of Clarin and economic groups affected by Government decisions?
I was reading anonhq for a long time, I am Argentinian I can’t believe that the source that anonhq took to write this informations was CNN!! WTF??? Clarin is a radical newspaper who were and are writing ridicules articles about the government.
I don’t know what happened there, but Nisman said that Argentina had a deal with Iran in order to receive petrol from Iran and the red alert that has Interpol in order to pick Iran’s ex Military and Government up, Nisman said that it was put down by Argentinian Government and you can read that Interpol Chief said that was not true, so, What can we trust about Nisman? I don’t know if the government killed him, or if the opposites candidates to the future of Argentina aligned with ex Chief of Intelligence Argentina Service decided to kill him in order to destroy the actual government, but really, you must be stupid if you are doing something wrong and someone that you put for being working investigating AMIA, and he found that Argentinian Government is building a relationship with the enemy (IRAN) in order to hide the terrorist attack, do you really think that Government will be stupid killing the guy to hide it?
I don’t believe it, Argentina has a lot of problem, corrupt government, insecurity situation in the country, but, I can tell you that Argentina could be better just if the next Government want to continue growing up the social politics, building highway in the rest of the provinces, building hospital, building schools and teaching the people how to be better with our CZ.
The problem is that Argentina decided to nationalize petrol company (YPF), airline company (Aerolineas Argentinas), Poste company (Correos Argentinos), so on, and it was a hard hit to economic sector (private), because they “lost” the power to control the country, or they were going to lose it.
Do you know that Argentinian Farms don’t want to sale the soja because the Argentinian Government put high tax if they want to EXPORT it?
What happens in Argentina is very complicated to explain in a page of newspaper, YOU, Anonymous and who wants to know more about it, I propose you to read more than 1 newspaper, read CNN, CLARIN (FAR RIGHT), but you also have to read 678 (National Channel), La Nación, so on in order to make decision aligned with the most close reality.
THANKS and I am sorry about my English, I am not American :D, but it could be 😀 c u
Excellent response, Nikolai.
