Joe Biden’s long list of on-air flirtations just got a bit longer. During Ashton Carter’s swearing-in ceremony recently, Biden welcomed Ashton’s wife, Stephanie, to the podium, from behind rested his hands on her shoulders for 25 seconds, pushed his nose into her hair, whispered into her ear, before sliding his hands halfway down her arms. Mrs Carter was a good sport and throughout the ordeal, remained indifferent to President Barack Obama’s right hand man’s insinuating gesture, surrendering a faint nod and chuckle.
In January, Biden, 72, was ridiculed for cozying up to Maggie Coons, the young daughter of Senator Chris Coons, during another swearing-in ceremony. Coons defended Biden’s act saying that he was simply offering words of encouragement to his daughter who in fact looked very very disturbed and creeped out.
Ashton too defended Biden’s kisses and ear whispering his wife.
Soon Twitter caught fire and Biden became the butt of an endless tirade of merciless jokes.
