A tourist from New York was taking a casual stroll on the Miami Beach when an armed Daniel Palmer stopped him at gunpoint, ripped a gold chain off the victim’s neck and ran away only to return a couple of minutes later in a white Mercedes-Benz to tell him his jewellery was fake. Alarmed, the victim then ran towards 10th Street where he flagged down a cop and pointed out the man. Palmer tried to take off from the approaching police vehicles but was eventually taken into custody on the MacArthur Causeway. He has been charged with armed robbery, fleeing and eluding police, reckless driving and possession of a suspended license.
