In September of 2014, Leonardo DiCaprio, a UN Messenger of Peace with a special focus on climate change, has delivered a statement asking industries and governments around the world to take action against global warming:

“To be clear, this is not about just telling people to change their light bulbs or to buy a hybrid car. This disaster has grown beyond the choices that individuals make. This is now about our industries and our governments around the world taking decisive, large-scale action.
Now must be our moment for action. We need to put a price tag on carbon emissions and eliminate government subsidies for oil, coal, and gas companies. We need to end the free ride that industrial polluters have been given in the name of a free-market economy. They do not deserve our tax dollars — they deserve our scrutiny, for the economy itself will die if our ecosystems collapse.
The good news is that renewable energy is not only achievable but good economic policy. This is not a partisan debate. It is a human one. Clean air and a livable climate are inalienable human rights. And solving this crisis is not a question of politics. It is question of our own survival. This is the most urgent of times, and the most urgent of messages.”

Sorry, i thought they changed “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” to make it even more ridiculously ambiguous. People concerned about climate change ignore the medieval warming period and how that led the the Renaissance.
Co2 is not a pollutant; we need it to respire and survive and a surplus helps plants grow to a higher extent.
Guess what, Co2 gets absorbed by the ocean. 70% of the Earth’s surface is ocean incase you didnt know.
The Earth’s temperature has NEVER been static. Its climate has been changing for billions of years.
There is NO direct correlation linking “global warming” to human influences.
In 1979, NASA sent a satellite into space which monitored the polar ice cap activity. In the last 40 or so years, they concluded that the ice caps have remained unchanged. Nothing was melted or gone.
Global warming is not a fucking threat. There is no reason to be concerned. Be thankful the temperature isnt DECREASING. That will be a problem
While what you say is correct, Sphinx, what you fail to understand is that CO2 is being burned into the atmosphere much faster than the carbon (natural) cycle can remove it.
You incredibly ignorant and sad individual man. If you honestly believe that the human race is not changing the environment of the entire planet with our pollution of plastics, pollutants, gases, or poisons getting dumped into the oceans or soil.
Where do you dig up this information? From some old crone from the 1940s? Open your eyes, stop getting brain washed and please read and do some simple research.
All the facts you said are true. Yes, there was a medieval warming period. Yes, the ocean is 70% of the earths surface and yes, it absorbes quite a lot of CO2. And yes, there is a climate change caused by humans. Or at least we speed the process up and intensify it.

Agreed. I honestly cannot stand idiots like this, they hold back the human race. Global warming is a fact that the scientific community agree on, and the amount of carbon in the air directly correlates with human industrial activity over the past few decades.
There really is no doubt for anyone with even the slightest understanding of basic science, yet we will always have idiots that doubt the facts.
The human race is threatened with extinction, and to be honest I’m over it already. If we disappear, we didn’t deserve to exist in the first place. Although I’d like to think that we will stop squabbling and confront this thread head on.
The problem is that even if we stop all emissions today, it may already be too late, and we may need to find a way to reverse the damage we’ve already caused. Yet we’re still miles away from even slowing down our emissions, instead they’re still increasing.
Perhaps many races across the galaxy have suffered the same fate, the Fermi Paradox calls this the great filter, and it would explain why we’ve not yet seen alien life. There simply isn’t much of it around, as other worlds follow a similar pattern – expand, consume all resources, then destroy their own home and seal their fate.

for those who dont know, our galaxy has an axis, and that axis is a frikin black hole, same with other galaxies.
so yes there is the chance of moving to another planet or galaxy when things go south here.
two problems however,
A) economy class gets left for dead
B) first class will die of old age by the time they get to their destination.
global warming? look into the history of the damn earth its self and get to know the solar system.

Global warming ? Ok we are doing our best. Lower emissions in our country’s that’s a fact, but production goes to other country’s as China.

We did have a Ice age, but now the Earth is warming up for a long time.
Even Mars is warming up, and nobody is driving cars there and there are no factories.
The bigger problem is pollution, Radioactivity from Japan getting in the Oceans and fish found radioactive at the other side of the Pacific.Filled ships with Poison express sunk in the Meditarian Sea near Napels in Italy (time Bomb), plastic soup in the oceans and so on.
That’s the biggest problem for now.
We do misuse our Home Planet, mother of all living things.
We can destroy ourselves. If nothing changes we will.

No one is denying climate change. Its a fact.
We are denying that it is getting worse because of us. Because its not.
The ice caps are NOT degrading, in fact, they are growing in size.
Too bad none of the smart hollywood actors (they are few and far between) will ever have their voices heard with the MSM censoring everything.
