Donald Trump seems to be quite fond of Adele’s music, playing songs by Adele like “Rolling in the Deep” at a rally in Oklahoma and “Skyfall” at another in Ohio. His choice of music has even led Real Clear Politics to claim that Skyfall was his unofficial theme song.
His dedication to her music led him to attend one of her concerts late last year, where he was reportedly booed/ cheered by fans as he cut the queue.
Unfortunately, for him, his choice in music might soon become more… limited.
A rep for the singer told EW that “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.”
It seems his taste in music doesn’t quite match up with the artist’s taste in politicians.
In fact, it has become quite the trend among musicians to shun Trump: Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Neil Young, and R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe have all asked that Trump not use their music on his campaign. Stipe even called Trump and his supporters “sad, attention-grabbing, power-hungry little men.”
