Michael Brown and Eric Garner were commoners, unarmed and had their hands up when they were shot dead by cops. Dave Chappelle was an actor, shooting for a scene, and was obviously unarmed when he was choked by a New Orleans police officer in front of the entire cast and crew.
In 1992, then 18-year-old Chappelle was dressed as a mugger for his first movie Undercover Blues and filming when a cop grabbed him by the throat and started choking him thinking he was a criminal. He was released after someone from the set yelled to the officer and told him that Chappelle was part of the movie and there was nothing unlawful about his presence on the set.

Dave Chappelle is the only person I know that can turn racism into comedy and be successful with it
