An experimental research carried out by a filmmaker in the United States has revealed that students at a very prestigious university in the country prefer the self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) than the state of Israel.
The filmmaker, Ami Horowitz carried his social experiment at the University of California, Berkeley. The university is said to be one of the most prestigious and selective universities in the US.
Horowitz’s primary objective was to assess the student reactions to two very different, but powerful symbols. Being filmed secretly by his team of researchers, Horowitz took to the university campus waving the infamous black and white flag of ISIS, hypothesizing to receive a cold gesture from students.
And as he waved the flag to show his support for the group, he shouted loudly these words “ISIS is misunderstood. We just want our own state. Why does America keep bombing us? America and Western imperialism are to blame, not ISIS”. The blood of the Middle East is on the hands of America. American imperialism is responsible for death all around the world”.
But guess what, the students who saw him waving the flag and repeating the unkind words about America passed without uttering any negative comment. There was no harsh condemnation of ISIS or whatsoever from the students, and no one even mentioned the beheading of the three US citizens by the group. One passerby even nodded towards Horowitz and said “Good luck” to him. Another student also gave him a thumbs-up of approval for his words.
“A couple of thousand students walked by me and not saying anything negative. In fact, there were some positive responses. It really blew me away. Not a single person has a negative response. It was completely shocking”, Horowitz said in an interview with RT English News.
The waving of the flag of ISIS and the accompanying words were only the first part of the experiment. And after he met no criticisms of the radical group, he went away with his team, returning the next day to finish what they started. This time, he started waving the flag of Israel like he did to the flag of ISIS.
But this action will infuriate the students. Students started responding to what he was doing with pure hatred.
One male student said “F*** Israel”. “You’re killing kids,” said another. “All of Israel are killers,” added a female student.
Another student even went deeper, describing the flag of Israel in the following manner “That flag you wave is the psychological genocide of this planet. This institution is part of the people who enslaved the whole planet”.
Horowitz later said that one student even told him that Israel is the worst country in Europe, not actually knowing that Israel is located in the Middle East.
In the end, Horowitz was worried about what he described as the ignorance of students who are said to be attending one of the best universities in a country at war with ISIS.
“It made me wonder about the educational system we have in the US unfortunately. If these are our best and brightest then we should all be afraid. Very afraid”, Horowitz said.
Many who have watched the video have also responded with mixed reactions. Some said the students are ignorant, and they do not reflect the American society. Calling this “research” belies any understanding of what actual scuence is.
No big difference imo. Both occupy land that isn’t theirs. Both torture and kill people without trial. Both are brainwashing their youth into believing they are superior to other people. Etc.
Biggest difference is the military power of Israel and the evil they do with it. In that sense Israel is on par with the cruelest dictatorships in the world, with the obvious exception of the imperialistic American oligarchy – no comparison there.
I’m glad that the educated young Americans from a university can see through the veil of propaganda when, clearly, the majority of the rest of the not-so-bright population cannot…

Perception, coupled with a blind belief in religious choice has led to this outcome. the jews are rich and oppressive is the perception and Islam is based on Salam, the word for peace. that why Mohamed released the quran in 622ad and by 632 they had conquered the entire Arabian peninsula. I can’t believe you actually did this “experiment”. ISIS has raped, murdered, tortured, sold women and girls into slavery, kidnapped, pillaged, stole, impaled, burned alive, crucified, and many other heinous acts committed on people. This is not a joke, nor is it and experiment or a social acceptance. They have to be stopped.
It is obvious that the time has come to stop the Israeli occupation of Palestine!
