28 Pages of 9/11 Documents to Possibly Be Declassified—What’s the Angle?

28-pages of the congressional report on 9/11 that, according to CBS News, was authored with the help of Florida governor, Bob Graham, may be released soon. In a recent episode of 60-Minutes, Graham implicated Saudi Arabia, stating that he believed the 9/11 hijackers were “substantially” supported by the Middle-Eastern nation. Whether or not that’s the case, the whole situation feels a bit “staged,” and we here at AnonHQ decided to lay out some facts for our readers to take into consideration as events unfold.

The 28-pages had originally been excised from the congressional report by the Bush Administration, supposedly to prevent information that would damage American intelligence from being released. The controversy surrounding these pages was brought to light a few years ago, and some politicians have since been requesting their disclosure.

According to reports from 2013, Representatives Walter Jones (R-NC) and Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) read the redacted pages and were “absolutely shocked” at the level of foreign state involvement, but said they could not reveal the nation identified without violating federal law. However, the same report went on to state that information based on CIA and FBI documents that pointed to Saudi Arabia, had already been leaked. The report also emphasized that this would make the attacks on 9/11 not just an act of terrorism, but an act of war.

It was later stated in a 2014 report that Jones claims the 28-pages have nothing to do with national security, but rather the Bush Administration’s relationship with the Saudis.

Although Saudi government officials denied the charges when this was all brought up a few years ago, the leaked documents indicate that the CIA found “incontrovertible evidence” of involvement by Saudi government officials, and regardless of the nation implicated, the fact that information this sensitive was supposedly leaked from an organization that revolves around secrecy should be noted. Later on, however, 2015 reports began to surface of a “declassified CIA watchdog report” that apparently revealed the CIA “encountered no evidence” that Saudi Arabia had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks.

Whatever the hell the “intelligence” agency’s stance on the matter is, let us not forget the CIA has been involved in illegal coups in the past to overthrow governments, as well as being guilty of numerous other corruptions. As one New York Post commenter put it:

Let’s take a closer look at the facts surrounding this recent revival of the situation:

It was announced by Bob Graham, who is the chairman of the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism (also known as the Graham/Talent WMD Commission), which is a throwback of the 9/11 Commission. The 9/11 Commission has directly concealed evidence relating to the destruction of the World Trade Towers from the beginning, and the Graham/Talent WMD Commission has worked to perpetuate the fear of terrorism, as well as classifying the idea of “revolution” as “terrorism.” Graham is just as much a part of the war-machine as anyone in the Bush Administration.

In his interview with 60-Minutes Graham stated:

“I think it’s implausible to believe that 19 people, most of whom didn’t speak English, most of whom had never been in the United States before, many didn’t have a high school education, could have carried out such a complicated task without some support from within the United States.”

Fair enough. That’s the same argument 9/11 Truthers have had for years. In fact, it’s almost word-for-word the same argument… except when most express this argument, it’s with the physical destruction of the Twin Towers in mind, not who financed it. The question of who funded 9/11 is obviously relevant, it’s just not usually the first question asked.

While the 28 pages will apparently expose the network of people believed to have supported the hijackers in the US, it still doesn’t answer the most critical questions Americans have been asking that involve the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers themselves; why were explosions going off before, during, and after the first, and then second plane struck the Trade Towers? How can the evidence of thermite and molten metal be explained? Or the collapse of Building 7?

These questions are relevant because without explanations, many people are still led to believe these were controlled demolitions. If they were not controlled demolitions, it would seem the government would have no problem allowing an independent investigation, and yet they won’t.

If they were controlled demolitions, the question would come down to; who planted the explosives needed for a controlled demolition within the buildings? Regardless of who financed the act, something like this could only be accomplished with the aid of extremely powerful entities within the United States, say for example, the CIA.

Moving back to Graham, there’s also this little snafu; in a report from the Tampa Bay Times:

“The 28 pages were classified at the request of the FBI. Graham has been pushing for release of the documents since 2011 when he learned that the FBI had failed to disclose part of its investigation that included reports that high-ranking Saudi Arabian officials provided financial aid and other help to the 19 hijackers who flew airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.”

Okay, wait… Graham is chairman of the WMD Commission, a legacy of the 9/11 Commission. The 9/11 Commission’s report, which was released in 2004, clearly states on page 172:

“To date, the US government has not been able to determine the origin of the money used for the 9/11 attacks. Ultimately, the question is of little practical significance.”

And yet, Graham states he has only been pushing for the release of the 28-pages since 2011 when he learned that the FBI failed to disclose their reports that implicated Saudi Arabian officials in providing financial aid for the 9/11 attacks. How did he only figure this out in 2011? Did he not read the 9/11 Commission Report in 2004? Was he under a rock for seven years?

Perhaps it’s a simple case of miswording on behalf of the Tampa Bay Times, but the fact that no one apparently knew who funded 9/11 has sort of been common-knowledge from the beginning. It’s an interesting little discrepancy worth mentioning here because it almost seems as though Graham is trying really hard to put himself in a favorable light with, and make a connection with, Americans who have concerns about 9/11, even paraphrasing 9/11 Truther’s arguments, but the main concerns still aren’t being addressed.

For many, it feels like another distraction, as though we’ll forget about all the other discrepancies if we have someone to blame. If Saudi Arabia helped finance the attacks on 9/11, they should most definitely be held accountable, but we still won’t know how they accomplished it.

As mentioned earlier, Walter Jones (R-NC) claims the pages have to do with the Bush Administration’s relationship with Saudi Arabia. The only way 9/11 Truther’s would be satisfied at this point is if the 28-pages disclose the Bush Administration’s role as well, as that would be the only logical explanation for the actual destruction that occurred (unless the government wants to finally allow an independent investigation), but it’s highly unlikely that will be the case.

Let’s move on to Saudi Arabia:

In 2007, Russian President Vladimir Putin had been awarded the King Abdul Aziz Medal by King Abdullah; the kingdom’s highest honor, and according to David B. Ottaway’s book, The King’s Messenger, which outlines American and Saudi relations, foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal considers their relationship with the US “…a Muslim marriage, not a Catholic marriage,” with the implication being that the US is only one of Saudi Arabia’s wives. In 2012, the Saudis “struck an agreement with its Chinese counterparts on the development and the use of atomic energy for peaceful usage,” according to reports.

For the US, relations with the Saudis haven’t been going nearly as well as they obviously were during the Bush Administration, and the current general consensus seems to indicate that’s the reason why the 28-pages haven’t been released yet. Thursday Obama will be traveling to Saudi Arabia for a six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council summit, and it’s believed he wants to prevent the already tense relationship from collapsing.

Saudi Arabia supports the declassification of the 28-pages, but of course, continues to deny any involvement in the attacks on 9/11:

Some sources claim Saudi officials have expressed a concern that the pages will confirm “long-held suspicions” that lower-level officials in the Saudi government aided and abetted Al Qaeda before the attacks on 9/11, and this would make Saudi Arabia a responsible party.

At this point, another development in the situation that needs to be mentioned is the fact that a lawsuit was brought more than ten years ago on behalf of the victims of the 9/11 attacks and their families. The suit has targeted charities, banks, and other individuals in Saudi Arabia, though in 2005, the Saudi Arabian government was dismissed from the suit.

As of now, countries with alleged terrorist ties are allowed to invoke sovereign immunity, and a recent bipartisan bill that would allow the families of 9/11 victims to sue the Saudi Arabian government has hit setbacks as it would open the gate for other countries to pass similar laws. Should this happen, the United States could potentially be sued for their drone attacks, and the White House doesn’t want to take that risk.

As a result, the measure will most likely be blocked. Saudi Foreign Minister, Adel al-Jubeir, also issued a warning to US lawmakers that his kingdom would sell $750 billion in US assets if the measure became law.

The White House

There is hope that if the White House should release the 28-pages, and if the pages really do implicate Saudi Arabia in financing the attacks on 9/11, other revelations—whatever they may be—will follow, and this is what 9/11 Truthers hope as well. However, we need to ask ourselves why White House officials would publically announce that they are even considering releasing the pages in the first place, if what Bob Graham says is true.

If Saudi Arabia is actually implicated, the announcement of their guilt, as well as the fact that the US government kept a lid on it all this time (let’s put whatever Bush’s guilt may have been on the back burner for a second), will undoubtedly cause problems—not only with Saudi Arabia, but within the US as well. The government doesn’t do anything unless they benefit somehow, so it’s entirely conceivable this is a tactic of some sort, otherwise the government would ignore the request to release these pages as they’ve ignored all other requests for answers so far.

It would have to be really worth it to the US government to willingly come clean on such a revelation after all this time—to reveal their figurative ace up the sleeve against the Saudis. Could it be that in the grand scheme of things, Saudi Arabia’s time has finally come? Are they the next piece in the US’s global game of chess to be knocked down? Perhaps this is an attempt to basically kill two birds with one stone; pacify the 9/11 Truthers with a little slight-of-hand spew about the financing behind 9/11, while moving on to the next target with American citizen’s full support.

And what if the US government does nothing it all? It will only continue to strain relations with US citizens. One might find it hard to believe that’s how Obama wants to end his presidency; by the way, Saudi Arabia was at least partly responsible for 9/11. Do with that information what you will, Obama out.

The CIA has gone back-and-forth on the matter, Bob Graham appears like a wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing when you take his work on the WMD Commission into consideration coupled with the fact this could potentially put us at war with Saudi Arabia (if they’re guilty, we should have resolved the situation long ago instead of going to war with everyone else instead). The Bush Administration most likely won’t be implicated for their role in 9/11, the most critical questions Americans have been asking still aren’t getting answered, and it’s quite literally unbelievable that the US government would even acknowledge the requests to release the 28-pages if there wasn’t some sort of angle they could benefit from.

However the situation unfolds, we felt citizens should be aware of the facts so far, as the US government isn’t known for its honesty, and even after 15-years the events on 9/11 are still a concern for a vast majority of Americans who disagree with the official findings. In our desire for the truth, it’s easy to believe what we’re being told if it’s worded right, but we need to remember who it is that’s speaking.
