Media Silent as CIA Director Admits Plans of Aerosol Spraying for Geoengineering

By: Matt Agorist / The Free Thought Project

CIA Director just addressed the Council on Foreign Relations and admitted his desire to conduct stratospheric aerosol injection.

Last week, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John O. Brennan addressed instability and transnational threats to global security at a meeting with the Council on Foreign Relations. During his long-winded talk of threats to US interests and how the largely CIA-created ISIL threat is impacting the world, Brennan brought up the topic of geoengineering.

Another example is the array of technologies—often referred to collectively as geoengineering—that potentially could help reverse the warming effects of global climate change. One that has gained my personal attention is stratospheric aerosol injection, or SAI, a method of seeding the stratosphere with particles that can help reflect the sun’s heat, in much the same way that volcanic eruptions do.

Brennan went on to echo the calls from some scientists who have called for aerial spraying.

An SAI program could limit global temperature increases, reducing some risks associated with higher temperatures and providing the world economy additional time to transition from fossil fuels. The process is also relatively inexpensive—the National Research Council estimates that a fully deployed SAI program would cost about $10 billion yearly.

The extent at which Brennan talked about stratospheric aerosol injection shows that he and the CIA have likely been considering this for some time.As promising as it may be, moving forward on SAI would raise a number of challenges for our government and for the international community. On the technical side, greenhouse gas emission reductions would still have to accompany SAI to address other climate change effects, such as ocean acidification, because SAI alone would not remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.

On the geopolitical side, the technology’s potential to alter weather patterns and benefit certain regions at the expense of others could trigger sharp opposition by some nations. Others might seize on SAI’s benefits and back away from their commitment to carbon dioxide reductions. And, as with other breakthrough technologies, global norms and standards are lacking to guide the deployment and implementation of SAI.

“Chemtrails” have long been the talk of conspiracy theories with massive amounts of disinformation being posted all over the internet including fake studies and photos. However, several real studies show that some ‘seeding’ or geoengineering may be taking place.

A study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health is suggesting that geoengineering has already begun, and the substance being used is a toxic by-product of coal burning call coal-fly ash.

“The widespread, intentional and increasingly frequent chemical emplacement in the troposphere has gone unidentified and unremarked in the scientific literature for years. The author presents evidence that toxic coal combustion fly ash is the most likely aerosolized particulate sprayed by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes and describes some of the multifold consequences on public health.

Also, it has been proposed that unintentional geoengineering may already be taking place as well. As Derrick Broze points out, researchers with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are suggesting contrails from airplanes may be inadvertently geoengineering the skies.

Chuck Long is a researcher with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory at the University of Colorado in Boulder. At the recent American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting, Long and his team released their paper, “Evidence of Clear-Sky Daylight Whitening: Are we already conducting geoengineering?” The analysis found that vapor from airplanes may be altering the climate through accidental geoengineering.

It may be a very long time before we know what, if anything, is actually going on in our skies. However, when the CIA, who is responsible for so much turmoil on a global scale, begins talking about geoengineering, we should listen.

Please share this story with your friends and family who think it’s only conspiracy nuts who talk about spraying things into the sky.

The part of the speech where Brennan talks about geoengineering begins at the 12:05 marker.

  1. “The widespread, intentional and increasingly frequent chemical emplacement in the troposphere has gone unidentified and unremarked in the scientific literature for years. 2. There are almost 100,000 airline flights per day…Would it be possible for each one of those flights to bring say 50 to 100 gallons of water with them on each flight…if the planes are flying in minus 60 to minus 70 degrees weather…wouldn’t that water then turn to ice….could we then unload that ice at each airport and reload more water to continuously perform this feat. Would this assist with global warming? If not water, perhaps another medium?

  3. if cia involved we should be very concerned ….notoriously corrupt they have been doing this for a very long time and I highly suspect there is alot more going on than seeding for global warming

  4. Well we know its heavy metals aluminium oxide ,barium, trinium, thalium this is well know and true in many studies.

Just take out a patent for a seed that is resistant to heavy metals that is to say kangaroo and soil that is solely with heavy metal what would you do with a seed that can only grow in heavy metal why would you want to seed that grows in heavy metal why would you be growing and heavy metal unless they were you know putting heavy metal someone they put heavy metals to in the country what comes up must come down what’s on the ground things that grow in soil are heavy metals going somewhere in the ground I hope you can grow food

  5. There’s a big difference between calling a jet trail a “chem trail” and a true chem trail. The latter does not exist, except in rare experiments …. that were NOT conducted over your city. Yes, lots of discussion about the concept of SAI, but it’s simply not happening yet. People who claim it’s happening on a large scale have no evidence, and are simply (in your words) conspiracy nuts …. emphasis on the nut.

  6. Oh, and the “scientific paper” you cited was retracted years ago. And yet it’s still dragged around by chem-trail wacks. Check your sources more carefully.

Look, I’m all for citizen journalism and watchdogs. I don’t trust government, in general. But there’s a difference between factual science and unfounded speculation. Even the headline of this article is misleading “CIA Director Admits Plans of Aerosol Spraying for Geoengineering.”

I listened to Brennon’s lecture. He didn’t say anything about “plans for spraying.” He was discussing a list of interesting things that could be considered for the future, which isn’t news. A number of scientific agencies have been talking about this for a long time, and even doing some tests (which are well-documented).

When we cross the line from good science to wild speculation, we lose credibility. I really like what you’re doing. Strive to remain objective.

  7. CLegg: You are obviously a CIA operative. It’s so abundantly clear we’re being spray with chemicals, that it is as clear as the bright blue sky! The planes that crisscross our skies put so many chemicals into the atmosphere that they form clouds. I remember a time when there were no “contrails” of any kind. Whoever is spraying doesn’t give a crap at how blatantly obvious they’re being. You can deny all you want, attempt to pacify the People, but whatever this depopulation operation is, it’s clear to everyone it exists.

  8. JC Montgomery, I’m in my 60s. As far back as I can remember, as a kid, there have been “contrails” (condensation trails) from jet aircraft. On some days, the trails dissipate quite fast (5 min). On other days, they can linger for some time (2-4 hrs). On those days, a “crisscross” pattern can appear. Suggest you do some basic research on why different atmospheric conditions, on different days, cause different periods of contrail persistence. Science beats no-nothing conspiracy nonsense. Every time.

As for me being a CIA agent, ha. That’s a good one. NAS/CIA agents are generally really smart (often drawn from the Ivys) so I will take that as a compliment. Not CIA, but deep scientific background, and no tolerance for low-information thinking. And (surprise!) a fan of Anonymous. But only when they follow good science. Chem-trail generation as a covert operation to reduce global warming (or poison humanity) is an urban myth, sustained by dis/misinformation and fear, not science.

    • George Bush was dumber than a fence post, yet he graduated from Harvard. That alone shows you can “buy” your way into a degree, regardless of whether you learned a damned thing or not. Grade: F

      • George Bush has a low IQ. That’s well-established. Jared Kushner got into Harvard because his daddy donated $2.5M to the school. What’s your point? That I’m stupid? Misinformed? Unable to grasp and weigh evidence? Is this how you were trained to respond to criticism of your beliefs? Really?

As I said, the “chem trail” idea is sustained by dis/misinformation and fear, not sound science. I have the weight of settled science. You have nothing but hand waving and pedantic insinuation, which isn’t worth my time.

Show me verifiable evidence for a conspiracy of chem trails. I’ll wait. Until then, I guess you’ll just have to keep relying on nasty personal insults.
