It appears that the Monsanto chemical glyphosate has been discovered in organic wines after tests conducted in the United States.
The testing followed after the Environmental Institute in Munich, Germany, tested some of their bestselling beers. They discovered the startling fact that all beers tested had traces of the “probable human carcinogen” glyphosate.
The study grabbed attention across the globe, including Microbe Inotech Lab of St Louis. However, rather than concern themselves with beer, they conducted a similar study on wines, including those of the organic variety. What they found was no less startling than their German counterparts.
According to the study, of the 10 wines tested, 100 percent were found to contain traces of glyphosate. This included the organic wines that should never have tested positive. What they concluded is the possibility of this chemical becoming airborne after being used in neighboring vineyards.
“All ten of the wines tested positive for the chemical glyphosate, the declared “active” ingredient in Roundup weed killer and 700 other glyphosate based herbicides. The highest level of glyphosate detected was up to 28.4 times higher than the other wines at 18.74 ppb from a 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from a conventional, chemically farmed vineyard. The lowest level was from a biodynamic and organic vineyard, 2013 Syrah, which has never been sprayed according to the owner, with a level of .659 ppb. An organic wine from 2012 mixed red wine grapes, had 0.913 ppb of glyphosate.”
The study documents the occurrence:
“Roundup/glyphosate cannot be used in organic vineyards so the presence of glyphosate/Roundup in the two wines using organic and biodynamic grapes is obviously unexpected. Since the majority of vineyards in these three counties use Roundup/glyphosate and spray at the same time, it is suspected that airborne drift from nearby vineyards contaminated the organic and biodynamic crops. Glyphosate/Roundup could also appear in organic grape wine from vineyards which were conventionally managed and then converted to organic. According to several scientific studies glyphosate/Roundup can remain viable in the soil for over 20 years.”
The news to organic customers is somewhat devastating.
The FDA, after ongoing public outcry, has since announced that some foods will be tested for traces of glyphosate. This comes at a time when California called Roundup as a cancer causing agent, and the WHO labelling glyphosate as a probable carcinogenic.

Alot of lawsuits will be handed to their arses.
ITS ABOUT TIME THEY SHUT THESE PEOPLE DOWN (CHEMICAL COMPANIES, SPECIFICALLY MONSANTO), & GET THEM OUT OF OUR FOOD SUPPLY! WE DON’T NEED GMO PRODUCTS, WE NEED CLEAN, HEALTHY FOOD!
