After the July 22nd leak of over 20,000 emails belonging to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) by the whistleblowing website WikiLeaks, its founder, Julian Assange promised that more leaks are coming.
Mr Assange has indeed honored his promise. In the latest news on the story, WikiLeaks has released some 29 voicemail messages that were hacked from the DNC, revealing several donors of the Democratic Party expressing discomfort over the influence of Bernie Sanders on party members.
After the audio messages were published on WikiLeaks website, WikiLeaks posted the link to the messages on Twitter, informing followers of the latest leak.

In the audio messages, which Wikileaks has converted to mp3 format, some of the donors expressed their grave anger about the support Senator Sanders was getting during the primaries. The Dallas Morning News reports that a caller supporting Hillary Clinton even threatened to leave the Democratic Party if members continued to give support to Mr Sanders.
The caller can be heard saying in the audio: “I’m furious about what you are doing for Bernie Sanders; he’s getting way too much influence. I’m on a fixed income. I spend over $300 donated to Hillary and what I see is the DNC bending over backwards for Bernie.”
Another caller was also heard questioning the DNC’s decision to allow Sanders to have Cornel West serve on the platform committee, despite being outspoken against President Barack Obama. The caller urged the DNC to stop that move. The caller said: “He’s not a democrat, please stop this man now.”
Two other callers also asked the DNC about how to reach the first lady, Michelle Obama in order to try and convince her to convince her husband to throw his support behind Clinton.
On Friday, July 22nd, 2016, WikiLeaks published a collection of emails, which showed that the DNC – the governing body of the Democratic Party – was biased against the presidential campaign of Senator Sanders, while favoring Clinton. The collection included 19,252 emails and 8,034 attachments from the DNC.
The DNC is supposed to be neutral throughout the primary process between the then two contestants. But its failure to do so, has now cost the party. Chairperson of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz has resigned as chair of the committee. The Democratic Party’s unity into the November contest is highly volatile.
According to the Green Papers, Mrs Clinton won 16.8 million of the popular votes at the end of the primaries, while Mr Sanders won 13.2 million. When the emails were leaked, at the DNC convention in Philadelphia, many of the Sanders supporters openly said they will not vote for Mrs Clinton in November, because she cheated her way through to become the nominee of the party.
This made the campaign manager of Clinton, Robby Mook to openly tell CNN in an interview that the emails leaked by WikiLeaks is part of a secret agenda by the Russian Federation to have Trump elected over Clinton.
According to Mr Mook, the DNC servers were hacked by hackers – sponsored by Russia to dent the image of the Democratic Party – in order for the American public to vote Trump and his Grand Old Party into office.
