Russia Made A Big Deal With Turkey – To The Great Displeasure of US & Europe

5

The European Union are working hard with the United States to avoid any further partnership with the Russian Federation. Under new projects, such as the Third Energy Package, to accelerate investments within the EU regarding the supply of gas, the Russians have had their South Stream project abandoned this month out of potential conflict to the Nabucco line. Both lines would see an increase in gas supply running from Turkey through the Black Sea to Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia and Austria.

The Nabucco line[1], backed by the EU and the United States displays the concern of a Russian supply of natural gas gaining even more strength in the region. They argue that such a stronghold by one country is in non-compliance with the EU competition, even though the outcomes of the new energy infrastructure are to “enhance cross-border trade.”

Up until now, the Russian Federation is the largest exporter of oil (32.5%) and natural gas (38.7%) [2] to the EU. The Nabucco line would see Iraq as the main provider of gas, with the backing of the United States. Considering that Serbia is one of the countries where the South Stream project would have had a gas line running through it, is not at all surprising that the EU and the US have attempted to halt the South Stream project.

Despite this, Turkey has signed a sequence of new trade and energy deals with Russia, extending their already lucrative deal for gas provisions this month. [3] Currently, Russian President Vladimir Putin, is dealing with Western sanctions; one wonders the reactions of the US in light of these recent agreements. Will the Western front retaliate?

It is also interesting to discover this situation drawing a very coincidental parallel to the movie Shadow Recruit, according to Watchman’s report. The report, narrated by the owner highlights the complete flip of the situation where rather than Russia’s economy collapses, the US and European economy may face a similar fate. [4] One commentator makes a valid point in light of the new agreement that will see Turkey’s neutrality in the event of a potential war in the region; with the newly built Wartime Headquarters, as Watchman states, he may not be far wrong.

  1. the united states has a history of aligning itself with iran and Iraq . from past experiences I would bet that they will regret this decision in the future.

  2. Not too long ago Russia was signing agreements to make their currency the norm for trading in the pacific. The goal was to devalue the dollar and the Euro, and create the want for a new standard currency for trade. That means the country with the most support already will take the lead. Then the US will have to pay back the money they enormous amounts of money borrowed from the ‘world currency pool’ which would effectively destroy the United States economy. Its been in a long time coming.

    • The United States, while it may see it as a tyrant, is actually the only reason why Russia hasn’t lashed out in a full-out genocidal war against the Western civilization. If the US wasn’t here, the world would enter an age of fear, paranoia, genocide, oppression and total destruction, so I’d rather suggest you choose your sides wisely.

I choose to side with the Western civilization and Justice.
