The 1% Have Their Perfect Society: Shoppers Wrestle For Discount Meat At Tesco

The supermarket worker sound like a powerless teacher when she threatens to ‘take it away’ from the unruly customers. She even has to beg them to let the staff out before the ruckus begins.

Johnny Lester, summed it up perfectly by simply uttering: ‘I actually cannot believe this.’

Another woman can be heard describing the unfolding mess as ‘disgusting’ as she passed by.
However this scene is actually a demonstration of people forced to take drastic measures, including surrendering their dignity, during hard times. A small sample of things to come if the 1% keep benefiting from and manipulating the political process. Fighting among ourselves for discount meat, distracting us from the men who made our lives this miserable.

The scramble allegedly happened when discount price meat was dropped into baskets in front of shoppers by the store staff.

A Tesco spokesperson said: ‘The safety of our customers and colleagues is of paramount importance to us. The Manager of the store has conducted a thorough investigation and will take steps to prevent a similar situation happening again.’
