Do you think your Facebook account is set up to be completely private and secure? Well, you are wrong. Your Facebook account COULD be accessed by (some) Facebook employees anytime they want to. You might think that they need to know your account’s password, but you’d be wrong again… Facebook employees don’t need your password to access it. According to Paavo Siljamaki, director of the record label Anjunabeats, “Facebook employees were logging into my Facebook account without entering the password, rather they took ‘permission’ from me.”
Facebook issued the following statement:
“We have rigorous administrative, physical, and technical controls in place to restrict employee access to user data. Our controls have been evaluated by independent third parties and confirmed multiple times by the Irish Data Protection Commissioner’s Office as part of their audit of our practices.
Access is tiered and limited by job function, and designated employees may only access the amount of information that’s necessary to carry out their job responsibilities, such as responding to bug reports or account support inquiries. Two separate systems are in place to detect suspicious patterns of behavior, and these systems produce reports once per week which are reviewed by two independent security teams.
We have a zero tolerance approach to abuse, and improper behavior results in termination.” (Source: http://venturebeat.com)
Facebook has a special tool that allows its employees to access user accounts. Not all Facebook employees can access this tool, however, and we would also like to mention that Facebook only allows very few employees to use this tool. Additionally, employees of Facebook are required to get permission from a user before accessing their account. When you ask the support team for help in sorting out an issue with your account, for instance, their help desk uses this service/tool that is able to solve almost every issue occurring with the account. Don’t worry, Facebook can’t access your account without your permission or consent first. This service is made available, “for the betterment of Facebook users,” and, “Facebook employees can’t access users’ accounts ‘on a whim’ as this service/tool is highly monitored.”

Any one that thinks their content is “Private” on Face Book is sadly mistaken. If you don’t want people to see it DON’T POST IT!! E mail that shit to the people. Otherwise consider your content private as far as no one is currently making an attempt to view it.
E-mail isn’t that safe either tbh…
