Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton plans to start her own TV show in order to “lead” the anti-Trump resistance. A Clinton insider said “she’s convinced she’d get fabulous ratings.”
Though she has largely faded from public prominence after her “crushing” defeat last November, Hillary Clinton is determined “not to fade into the background,” according to Clinton insiders. Apparently unable to register the fact that she was arguably the most unpopular and unelectable presidential candidate of all time, Clinton is already plotting her come-back for a run in the 2020 presidential election. According to Clinton insiders who spoke to best-selling author Ed Klein, Clinton has “been talking very seriously about the idea of having her own television show.”
In discussing what such a show would entail, Clinton has suggested that she would host the program, where she would “discuss the issues of the day from a progressive point of view, have top guests, interview world leaders and progressive thinkers.” Klein’s source further asserted that Clinton is “convinced she’d get fabulous ratings in a political climate where there’s so much anger in Democratic circles over Donald Trump’s election.”
However, it appears that Clinton’s expectations for her return to the limelight are out-of-touch with reality, not unlike her failed presidential campaign. Just over the weekend, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) selected Tom Perez as its new chairman. Perez, who conspired to boost Clinton over Sanders in the 2016 primary, is widely disliked by the more progressive elements of the party, spurring many Democrats to openly discuss their desire to abandon the party entirely over Perez’s appointment. The “Bernie Sanders wing” of the party is both influential and sizable, yet establishment Democrats – Clinton included – continue to avoid facing the reality of the situation.
Though Clinton’s TV show has yet to materialize, she is already trying to make her public comeback on the heels of Perez’s ascension to the top position in the DNC. A video released over the weekend shows Clinton posturing herself as the face of the anti-Trump resistance and as the “acknowledged leader-in-exile of her party.”
In the video, Clinton states:
We as Democrats must move forward with courage, confidence and activism, and stay focused on the elections we must win this year and next.
Let resistance plus persistence equal progress for our party and our country.
…Keep fighting and keep the faith… and I’ll be right there with you every step of the way.
We’ll see soon enough if Clinton’s efforts will allow her to build a meaningful following or if popular support for her as a candidate will attract the same size crowds as her 2016 primary campaign. History suggests that the latter is much more likely, no matter how well-produced or well-publicized her TV show may be.

Clinton again? ? ?
Bernie Sanders all the way. Clinton is a pariah and it’s disturbing that many people still can’t see through her. Women I know told me they were voting for her because she’s a woman and they wanted one in power. Their requirement was she’s a woman and she’s Democrat. So small-minded. You want someone with values? Someone who will support minorities? Who believes in equality? Who protects the environment? Who remembers what it ACTUALLY means to be American? Where this country came from? Who believes everyone deserves medical healthcare in the way the Europeans do it rather than the debacle Obama created (though he had many achievements his healthcare was a poor model of what a real national healthcare structure is)? Who is not going to force bad trade agreements down our throats or force us into situations where we don’t know what our food is because labeling laws have been scrapped? Who does not warmonger? Who does want peace? Who is progressive? Who is honest and won’t do something behind the American people’s backs when she’s in power peddling it as ‘for the people, for the United States of America ‘? Bernie Sanders is the ONLY person I would vote for. Clinton can’t be trusted.
Did anyone else hear her giggle at “strength and our convictions” around 3:01 min in the interview? Guys, this is an act, she is lying to your faces and laughs inside at how stupid people are to believe her. She is not a progressive politician, she is Ms. Wallstreet and WallStreet never cared about the little man or the middle class.
I could see her hosting “To Tell The Truth”
This whole article seems a little far fetched. I would like to know the sources for this article because I doubt Hillary is planning to run again. If she was the “most unpopular and unelectable candidate of all time,”she would have lost the popular vote, but I’m mostly replying to Sarah. If you know anything about Hillary Clinton, she was fighting for healthcare in the 90s. This “debacle,” as you call it, was a result of compromise. It’s not the system that Hillary, Ted Kennedy, or Obama dreamed of, but it has saved lives. Also, I don’t think “war-mongering” is an accurate description, and I would like to hear some opinions of what makes a good trade agreement. I think Bernie Sanders is awesome. If he runs, I would happily vote for him, but I think a big problem with the 2016 election was that many people didn’t bother to dig a little deeper. Hillary is probably the most qualified candidate we have ever had, but because she was a woman she didn’t get a fair chance. Now we are stuck with Donald Trump because people like you couldn’t be bothered to vote.
Clinton is a liar and more than qualified to be the president of the united states. I use the word qualified because the “best” presidents know how to be sneaky and keep everything they really do hush hush while feeding the public what they want to eat, as far as they’re aware. so yeah shed be the best president ever. please detect my sarcasm people, I’ve been told its hard to tell the difference. Bernie sanders, is a complete turn coat and dropped his values the second he realized he couldn’t win, and started humping Clinton’s leg. If you want to attribute the democratic parties failure to win the 2016 presidential election, to its failure to represent the middle class, then maybe you should have represented the middle class too? And free healthcare and free college doesn’t do anything for the middle class, we all know nothings free, the money comes from somewhere and we know its not from Bernie’s pocket, its called taxes, and the middle class loves those. Trump, I voted for trump, I now see that I’m no better Bernie for turning by back on my morals and taking part in the selection between two definitive evils, which we’re all well past tired of. I can admit i was wrong, but I would have been wrong to vote for Clinton, and wrong to vote for Sanders. The buildings burning now because of Trump should have been burning when we were faced with the three laughable excuses for leaders. We were all wrong. And we are all at fault who decided to play their lose/lose game.
