Cannabis Revolution: A Mega Cannabis Recreational Centre To Be Opened Soon In Colorado

0

In the United States, the state of Colorado is one of the few states where the use of both recreational and medicinal marijuana has been entirely legalized. It has recently emerged that an entrepreneur in the state has invested heavily in a super-cannabis recreational centre, which is scheduled to be fully open to the public by early 2016.

The project, known as Green Man Cannabis Ranch, is said to be the brainchild of Christian Hageseth. The centre will be located just outside the state capital of Denver, behind a beautiful rocky mountain.

The recreational centre is a beautiful garden, similar to popular wineries and breweries. Facilities inside include a restaurant, bar, gift shop, guided tours and the greenhouses that grow the plants. When it is fully operational, guests will be able to enjoy listening to live music whilst admiring the view of the beautiful rocky mountains. It can host over 3,000 guests at a time.

Guests will have the opportunity to witness the process of growing cannabis and purchase marijuana on site. Currently, consumption of marijuana is illegal at the centre; however, guests are welcome to purchase the cannabis and use it elsewhere. Hageseth has said he is looking to overcome this setback, and open up the bar as a smoking area when it is finally opened to the public.

According to local media reports, the Colorado project is set to cost around $35 million. Hageseth is hoping to expand the budget to $100 million and create similar projects in states such as Nevada, Massachusetts and California, once cannabis is legalized in those states.

The project has not faced any major roadblocks from competitors or the law while under construction, helping the creation of the centre go quickly and smoothly.

The Plaid Zebra reports that Washington and Colorado have experienced a surge in tourism since legalizing marijuana, and that the cannabis industry is about to encounter a whole new way to enjoy that blissful high with America’s first ever weedery. It is said businessmen are following the cannabis tourism industry trend within those states, as it is pulling tourists all over the world.

Hageseth said he is hoping that the project will counter the marijuana negative stereotypes and allow people to see the drug up close, allowing them to develop an accurate understand of what it is.

Apart from being a successful businessman, the vibrant entrepreneur is also an enthusiast for legalizing marijuana. He has shared his experiences working to ratify medical and legal marijuana in the United States, in his book, Big Weed.

Hageseth has stated that he hopes for a future with a large nationwide marijuana market, similar to coffee and beer. But for now, he argues that it is a matter of appealing to the general public and slowly dismissing the myths about cannabis, while also filling in the gaps with the truth about smoking and ingesting the drug.

He told the New York Times in an interview, “It’s not about making statements about what’s right or wrong. It’s about putting marijuana back in nature and letting people make their own decisions.
