The teenage group of hackers, CWA (Crackas With Attitude) is famously known for their previous exploits upon CIA Director John Brennan, and proceeded to publish sensitive data online.
Now, CWA has their hands on something even more important and could even probably a secure target. This group has claimed they have gained access to a ‘Law Enforcement Portal’ in which they can and probably will access arrest records as well as utilizing the software’s tools for sharing information about terrorists, as well as events and even active shooters.
The system in which CWA has gained access to is known as JABS (Joint Automated Booking System), this software is only available to the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and even local law enforcement officials…Until now!
Crackas With Attitude states that they have also gained access over another secured tool in which is utilized by the FBI to communicate with other law enforcement agencies with their real-time chat system. Just 3 days ago, the CWA had published a portion of the data in which the group collected to an online “Pastebin and Cryptobin”. The group had apparently released information regarding names, email address, and even personal phone numbers of over 3,500 law enforcement as well as military personnel.
Like true black hat hackers, CWA does not release any information regarding the process in the exploitation of their work, they do provide screen shots as well as other forms of evidence in which backs up their crimes. CWA posted a screen shot of them using the Jabs on Twitter searching for hacker Jeremy Hammond
The system, JABS, is indeed a noteworthy as it allows anyone that possess access controls to view arrest records, even if the records are sealed and not available to the general public. This system can expose secret informants as well as others in which have been detained and are now working with law enforcement agencies. While none of these tools from any law enforcement has been shared publicly, the teenage hacking group (Crackas With Attitude), is shaking the government cage and releasing sensitive information at any time.
I’m sure there are millions of people who would chip in to the hackers if they deleted that whole database….
