Global Borders: The Unique Brutality Of The US-Mexico Border [IMAGES]

US Uncut has published seven international borders from around the world and compared them to the United States-Mexico border, which has been a controversial issue as far as borders are concerned. The border, known in the US as ‘the fence’ or the ‘Border Wall,’ is a collection of several barriers which the US argues is designed to prevent illegal movement across the two countries.

For the Grand Old Party (aka, GOP or Republican Party), which is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the US today, the border is one of the hottest issues on its agenda.

Looking at the border issue critically, activists against the border argue that in every continent, international borders are much more open and demilitarized. The following are images that back their claim:

u 1

The first image you see is the Kenya-Tanzania border, in Africa. The photo shows a couple on an African safari, crossing over from Kenya to Tanzania. Rather than guns, troops, helicopters, drones and fences like US-Mexico, the only thing separating these two countries is that rock the couple is standing besides. The only intimidating weaponry also near this border would be a pride of lions.

The second photo is from India-Nepal, in Asia. Asia is said to be the home of Demilitarized Zones, excluding North and South Korea. Apart from the two Koreas, many other borders are meant for easy and open travel. In this photo, three backpackers are taking a selfie at the India-Nepal border with no menacing security forces or intimidating weaponry in the background. Surely, these immigrants are not crossing to take native jobs, sell drugs or rape natives, as the Republican Party Presidential hopeful, Donald Trump, accused those crossing from Mexico into the US of doing.

The third photo is in Europe, at Poland-Belarus. It is said to be one of the more relaxed borders in the world. On the left of this photo is the Poland border, on the right is Belarus. The man you see has his legs on each side of the line in between the two countries. It should be noted that the two countries have their own domestic problems to worry about, and so, they do not see any benefit in wasting time and resources to put up a border that only brings animosity.

u 4

Our fourth picture is from Northern Europe, at Norway-Sweden. The border between these two countries is almost unrecognizable. The only thing you see is the writings (which are even almost fading away). The two countries do not even care about buying paint to re-write and make it new, let alone use their scarce resources to build a long and high fence, stationing heavy military equipment.

u 5

Again in Europe, this is France-Italy, in the western part of the continent. Here in Western Europe, it is said many of the international borders separating countries are little more than imaginary lines. In this fifth photo, a pile of rocks is the only separation between France and Italy. Is that not remarkable thing to see?

u 6

The sixth photo is from South America, at Argentina-Brazil. Argentina and Brazil are two very different countries. One speaks Portuguese (Brazil) and the other speaks Spanish (Argentina). Argentina is facing a serious financial crisis and Brazil is facing mounting protests over government corruption… but despite their domestic problems, the border between the two countries is simply a “friendship bridge” that allows people like this woman to have one foot in each country without any trouble from the military.

u 7

The seventh, and final, border we will be able to show (due to space limitations) is US-Canada. This is what some say is hypocrisy and inconsistent. It is said the US spends more on border security than on any other law enforcement agency. Between US-Mexico, there is a heavily militarized zone, but what do you see here with US-Canada? The man has his feet in the US side while his shadow is in Canada. No border patrols or military presence to harass him.

According to activists, those crossing from Mexico into the US are people who only want to make life better for their families. They are not in the US to sell drugs or rape women. Activists add that if the US does not want to see them crossing, then it should amend the disastrous free trade policies that repress the economic activity of Mexico, and those in Central America, to its advantage.

  1. This is completely not true. These are obscure points on the border with no guards. That Canada-USA crossing point is actually nothing like any border crossing I’ve seen. It’s probably Point Roberts out west in B.C.

And you should know better, anytime I see image articles like this I could show you the completely opposite. You might as well throw this one out. Do better.

    • All of you who think “imaginary borders” are not real.
Come to europe. We might not know everything there is to know about world domination, but we do like our neighbours. Ive just travelled 3600km trough europe, and I wasnt stopped once by police, border guards or in fact nobody else. Obviously in parts of the world it is unfortunately not possible. But you’d be amazed how easy it is to freely travel the world. Greetings from the baltics.

      • Read the latest news… 200,000 illegal immigrants piling into Greece from Syria. Refugee camps at the Hungrian border. illegal immigrants massed at Calais trying to sneak through the Chunnel. Europe is getting a dose of what the USA has been dealing with fir decades. Your article totally misses the point by showing borders without any political strife. Of course a border has no issues when there is no significant flow of illegals.

    • Osh

You’re completely missing the point. The US opresses it’s neighbours for its own political and economic gain to the detriment of others whilst in most other parts of the world you can literally walk between countries without getting a gun shoved in your face and accused of terrorism…

    • I crossed into Canada at the Niagara Falls border a few years ago and while the Canadian side was very relaxed the crossing back into the us is militarized. Almost couldn’t get back into the US. They also now require you to have a passport to cross between the two places. The Canadians however did say they didn’t care about people going into Canada that it was just coming back into the US that would be the issue.

  2. You could have used just the Canadian/US & US/Mexican borders to show the difference there. The US doesn’t want to keep the Canadians out only Mexicans/South Americans. Purely racial.

    • Perhaps I’m completely wrong, but I’ve never heard of any Canadian (or any other of the countries on this list) drug cartels who are murdering countless innocent citizens every single day just a few miles away from the border in an attempt to smuggle millions of dollars worth of heroin/cocaine/every other drug across the border.

But you’re right. It’s all about race and doesn’t have anything whatsoever to do with protecting the citizens who were either born here or immigrated the RIGHT way, and have the right to be secure in their own country.

This is one of the most ignorant posts I’ve ever read. People SAY they want racism to go away, but then do everything within their power to try and keep racism relevant by bringing it up and every opportunity they get.

Kind of an inconvenient fact for y’all’s side, but were you aware that over 70% of Latin American immigrants (I believe the number was 73%, but Its been a few days since I read it so I’m not 100% sure) support tougher borders to keep those who would enter illegally out of the country.

One guy who was interviewed said he had just finally gotten to the U.S. (he did it legally) and said “absolutely tighten the border. I came to America to escape the violence and influence of [the cartel] (he said the name of the cartel, but I can’t remember which one it was). Even legal immigrants who JUST immigrated support securing the border.

      • If the US outlawed maple syrup, and the Canadians developed cartels because of the outrageously insistent demand for syrup in the US, believe me the US would throw up walls for that, too. Ha!

        • I am dual citizen US/Canada with family on both sides of the border. When Canada increased taxes on cigarettes to ungodly levels, it was a regular occurrence to have border patrol chasing down cigarette boats full of Yankee cigarettes.

  3. Funny part is the fact most people dont care to go to other counties, especially the ones listed here. There is no line or waiting list to get into any of those counties, so why would they care about the border.

  4. You guys are really starting to make an ass out of yourselves. Ever heard of the drug cartel? Or seen the violence they do over there. Yeah lets bring that into arizona california new mexico texas and let it run wild in the country. I live in Aironza its hard enough with the drug cartel and gangs. Dont bring them in you fucking half assed retards. Why is it people from other coutries or other states that don’t deal with this say we should let them all in? They aren’t going to come here and bring peace. Some will yes but it would end up being a war with the gangs and the police stoping the beheadings and the shootings and the mas amount of killings. Think about the fucking kids before you people behind a screen say something, you guys don’t deal with this shit. I am hispanic this comes from someone who’s family came from mexico why is it so diffuctly to understand this shit!?1?

  5. I am from Eastern Europe and I can tell you that I haven’t saw real border with fence like never in my life. I have traveled through whole Europe without being stopped for anything or by anyone – exactly like Andres said. I could go to Austria or Hungary and feel welcomed. No one is blaming me of being a terrorist, people do not even look at me in a different way, even though I come from the Big Scary Eastern Europe :). You people are far too focused on your guns and power issues. Actually the whole terrorist thing is again thanks to you as you go and make wars in Middle East for God knows what reason and then just go back to your country and feel safe as you are one ocean far from all that and WE have to struggle with the consequences of endless floods of homeless people from Syria and Iraq and so on. So you are attacking other people, destroying their lives, leaving them with no other choice, but becoming terrorist and then you give billions of dollars to protect yourself from them. It’s ironic – don’t you think. Just stop messing in other people business and leave the World in peace. We will be far better without you causing conflicts all over 😉

    • You’re right. Because terrorism wasn’t a thing until bush invaded Iraq. They weren’t already carrying out terror attacks, genocide and raping yazidi women…

  6. Idk about any of y’all, but I personally have never heard of any Canadian drug cartels murdering countless innocent civilians in an attempt to smuggle billions of dollars worth of heroin over the border. I could be wrong though.

I’ve also not heard anything about Poland, France, Italy, Norway or Sweden dealing with 85,000 murders directly at the hands of drug dealers in the last 10 years, or 10.7 million households having at least 1 member become a victim of violence in the name of drugs, and all of that violence being focused just a few miles from the border.

But after reading all of your comments, I have faith that even If that WERE the case, and Belarus started seeing their enemies (whoever those enemies were, and regardless of whether it was Belarus’ fault that said enemy hated their country, because Belarus’ leadership made a dumb decision 13 years ago. Because the decision of 1 president obviously represents the beliefs of every person in the country, so since that president invaded the country, the entire country deserves to be chastised / attacked / hated) that Belarus would keep their borders open, continue to allow EVERYONE to enter the country at will, and provide welfare programs for everyone -including those enemies who inevitably get in- because not EVERY person means harm to the populous. Only about 25% do. And even though those 25% will cause irreparable damage and will murder countless people, it’s not right to punish EVERYONE in the name of national security.

Y’all are right. It totally makes more sense to open the borders and allow those cartels, drug addicts, terrorists and free loaders though, because some of the people who will come are just looking for the “American dream”! They just don’t want to go through the trouble of doing it the proper way that’s already set in place, because let’s face it. Who wants to spend another 6 months being evaluated to ensure you don’t intend to do harm to the natives. That’s just a pain in the ass, and then you’d be on record and would have to pay taxes and shit :/

    • And I’m sure the family members of those Americans / other immigrants who get killed by those cartel members / ISIS members will totally understand. I mean, it really is a tragedy that they were killed. But, they’re basically martyrs of love ! Because now we’re showing that we accept anyone and love everyone. Them being killed is just a necessary evil on the road to letting people have the American dream without troubling them with all the shit that comes with becoming an American / immigrating.

Because it totally makes sense that the people who are too lazy to fill out the paperwork / would get denied citizenship through the traditional route because of their background will TOTALLY work hard, contribute to society and become upstanding citizens !

  7. The us funds the drug cartel and terrorist how can a country that spends millions of dollars on ‘border security’ and ‘war on terrorist’ but yet drugs still flow in and terrorist acts are still happening the us is a sad excuse for a country not being able to protect its people and blaming others for there mistakes. How many people have died because of the us counting its own people

  8. Apples and Oranges, apples and oranges. And what about the borders they show on the news where the Muslim “refugees” are being stopped. Also those borders are either between two wonderful countries or they are out in the middle of nowhere. Note, there is also no fences between the middle eastern countries but the “refugees” choose to go where they will get free stuff and their own “Muslim brothers” in the very rich Saudi Arabia has enought air conditioned tents to house 3 MILLION people but don’t want them because they don’t want terrorists in their country. The only reason MOST not all people cross the US Mexican border is to sell drugs or sex slaves. Those people have no idea what they are in for when those “cyotes” lead them across the border. If those countries that they showed the “open” borders (out in the middle of nowhere) were to share a border with Mexico they would hAve already built a fence. So once again, apples and oranges and misleading photos
