Calls are growing for high sugar drinks to be taxed in the same way as cigarettes to curb rising obesity. Does the drinks industry’s resistance echo that of the tobacco industry denial in the 1960s? Jeremy Paxman spoke to James Quincey, president of Coca Cola Europe.

The Coke guy doesn’t make sense. DON”T ADD THAT MUCH SUGAR,PERIOD.In my humble opinion they want you to get diabetes to live the rest of your life on diabetes drugs ,in collusion with the drug companies. SUGAR added everywhere,no coincidence, none at all .Purely deliberate.
The Coke guy has a salary, and probably a wife and kids, hes protecting his, job, his ass, his family, his livlihood, for all these reasons, he has to deflect all reasonable approaches to the stark fact that Coke knowingly poisons people with massively overloaded sugar products. He will talk in circles till the cows come home rather than admit the obvious culpable facts.
Sugar had direct links to cancer. Cancer cells feed off sugar, they multiply from sugar uptake. This is common knowledge. And Coke will know this medical fact.
This is not the real James Quincy, if you do a simple google search, you can see it, they kinda look similar but it’s not really him.
Oh please ! Go back to looking for space men on Mars
What’s the big deal with this? This is as bad as 90% of the things that are currently being sold in the supermarket. If you buy a cake, a soda… even if you eat many fruits, you are putting yourself at risk. He is selling a drug, like alcohol, tobacco, or anything else…. you just buy if you really want it. I usually never drink soda… though I am also aware if I drink many fresh fruit smoothies, it contains huge amounts of sugar as well. Just drink in moderation. IF you eat 2 pizzas a day, or burgers everyday, or if you eat lasagna, icecreams, bread cream, morning cereals or whatever… everything contains excessive amounts of sugar. Just educate yourself and start picking the right stuff… or eat as much for your own pleasure knowing the consequences… Sometime it is not bad to die sugary happy…
I had to drink and finish my coke before reading this article.
me too i just finish my mini coke ???
but really its in our decision if we like to drink or not… & in cinemas & other fast food they r putting more ice to atleast equal the sugar & i see already people even me adding water to a soft drinks…
