San Francisco, CA – San Francisco Board of Supervisors member, Scott Wiener, had some humbling words for FOX recently, making him a hero to people across the city and the nation.
“They’ve [FOX] been stalking various members of the board of supervisors for the last week. They went to someone’s home. One of my colleagues said they were following her around in her district last week,” Wiener said in a phone interview with ThinkProgress.
After the murder of Kathryn Steinle by an undocumented immigrant, FOX became interested in local San Francisco politicians in the hopes of blaming the Board of Supervisors for making San Francisco a “sanctuary city” that doesn’t actively seek to deport undocumented immigrants. As Wiener put it, FOX is trying to “take advantage of a horrific crime to bash immigrants.”
In the video below, FOX is seen trying to corner Wiener in the hallway, and knowing this encounter was inevitable, Wiener knew exactly what to tell them. Rather than answering their questions, he addressed FOX directly and stated:
“FOX News is not real news. And you’re not a real reporter.”
Well put, Wiener. Let’s watch:

The response of those in San Francisco has been “overwhelmingly and enthusiastically positive. People are thrilled. There is such a deep seated frustration with FOX News and the fringe it represents,” Wiener said. He’s received messages of support from around the country as well.
Wiener emphasizes that he’s fine with talking to conservative news reporters, just not FOX. Unsurprisingly, the response from FOX fans, like the news network they love so much, were filled with “really extreme fringe hateful” posts.
Wiener has no regrets though, and we commend him. As he put it, FOX News is a “propaganda machine, nothing more and nothing less.”
Finally, FOX is getting the attention they deserve.

The city of San Francisco, its people, its policies, and people like this dweeb are indirectly responsible for harboring a man illegally that eventually killed a woman. Oh, but all means let’s point out the real criminal here. Fox News?? Have whatever opinion you want about the media, but you will not obfuscate the truth here. San Francisco has a responsibility and culpability in the death of an innocent woman. This guy is NOT a hero; he’s part of the cabal and the dark heart of the problem.

Granted, Fox news is not real news (just like CNN, MSNBC, and BBC are not real news), but there’s something to calling out sanctuary cities that protect murderers and criminals, allowing them to keep murdering and committing crimes. I support snuffing that out, and I don’t care who does it.
