You remember Eric Garner, the young black man who was murdered by the New York Police Department (NYDP) last year in Staten Island, New York City? Well, the man who revealed the secret behind Garner’s death has been targeted and arrested by the NYPD for possessing an unregistered firearm.
Ramsey Orta filmed the NYPD killing Eric Garner. He has since been locked up at the notorious Rikers prison in New York after his unlawful arrest.
Activists who are leading a campaign to free him alleged that the NYDP scrutinized Orta’s daily life until they were able to find something to charge him with.
But the arrest is not even the point. It has now emerged that Orta risked being poisoned by police officials. Orta had expressed concern for his safety after his arrest because he was sure if the police were retaliating against him for exposing what they had done to Eric Garner.
He has been refusing to eat in prison, suspicious that he might be poisoned. He was right to be suspicious. Some other inmates in the same prison have reported traces of rat poison in their food, a claim that was actually recently admitted to by anonymous prison officials.
The New York Post had reported that 19 different inmates have been denied medical care and tests after bluish green pellets were found in their food. This has also been confirmed by some prison officials. It seems the police want to employ food poisoning to eliminate sincere citizens who expose them… as well as punnish the very prisoners who had saved their colleague from a reccent potential rape.
Reliable sources from the prison has it that Orta has been refusing to eat, so he has not ingested any of the food laced with rat poison. However, his health is deteriorating and he is becoming malnourished as a result.
Danette Chavis-founder of National Action Against Police Brutality told The Free Thought Project that Orta’s search and arrest were completely unjustified and all should help in campaigning for his release.
“It’s imperative that each and every one of us watch this case closely, for what is being done to Ramsey Orta is being done across the United States to those who would resist the oppressive forces of police. When police have to reach back into the history of a person to justify their actions of today, something is very wrong. For the actions committed by the person at the time of arrest should be sufficient. And when it isn’t they ought not be charged with a crime. Because if history is enough to convict the United States itself is guilty, for crimes unable to be enumerated here”, Chavis said.
Orta’s situation is serious. The police have set his bail at $16250, but his family cannot afford to pay for his release. They are therefore appealing for donations to help get him out. Remember that he has not been eating because the food in prison is not safe. We cannot trust the prison officials any more. Please do your bid to help get him out before the murderers take him out, just like they did to the many whistle blowers who have suffered an “accidental” end.

I just want to say here, you get bonded out of jail, not prison. The article is incorrect in assuming he is in prison. So this is either full of it, or the reporter doesn’t know the difference. Either way, it appears this kid is innocent and someone needs to do something about the jail. But, it will continue because of corrupt jail officials/government.

It reminds me of Communism Era in Czech Rep. Comms just locked down people for no reason and tortured them so long, until they admited something they didnt even do. And police should just respect law and not kill other people…. i would send police to jail and dont let them breathe (like they did it to Eric)!!!
The man is a hero exposing this murder, if not it would have been covered up by the NYPD for sure if they are trying to cover it up even after caught on video, This is a loosing battle for the cops though, there whole world changing because of cell phone cams, what are they going to do when cameras are standard and even more devices, vehicles, and appliances and there is no hiding they will actually have to do their job without hurting and killing people or risk being exposed every time.

Whats to say this article isn’t completely made up? Are we to take the author’s word for it that someone credible released this information?
