Saudi Prince Booked For Sex Crime In LA, Gets Bail, Flees America

On September 23, Saudi prince Majed Abdulaziz Al-Saud, 28, was arrested at a 22,000-square-foot Beverly Glen mansion and booked on suspicion of having forced a female worker to perform oral sex on him after a resident reported seeing a bleeding woman screaming for help as she desperately tried to climb the 8-foot-high walls on the prince’s property.

The very next day, however, he was freed on $300,000 bail. Although, the Saudi prince is scheduled to appear in court on October 19 to face a charge of “forced oral copulation”, his neighbors have told Daily Mail that the monarch had already fled the country on a private jet.

In addition to the sex crime charge, Al-Saud is also facing one count each of battery and false imprisonment. On September 25, a civil lawsuit filed in LA County Superior Court claimed he sexually abused and beat at least three women during a three-day party in the $37 million Beverly Hills house. According to Los Angeles Times, Al-Saud’s victims described his behavior as ‘extreme’, ‘outrageous’, and ‘despicable’ as they were ‘imprisoned’ for several days.

Detective Mark Fassam from the LAPD believes there to be enough evidence to charge Al-Saud. “A lot of information is already out about this case from the neighbors. At this time, my focus is more on not his whereabouts, but on getting charges filed with the district attorney. This looks like it was something that went out of control and people obviously got violated.”

Earlier, a video went viral showing a Ferrari and a Porsche belonging to Sheik Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar’s ruling family racing through narrow streets in Beverly Hills. Before the police could charge Al-Thani with reckless driving and other offences, he fled the country.

Recently, Saudi diplomat Majed Hassan Ashoor sparked outrage by leaving India without facing justice over alleged sex crimes. He was accused of raping, assaulting, torturing and starving two Nepalese women held captive for over three months.

  1. Crimes like these are the dark side of diplomatic immunity. And it appears that, since even before 9/11, all Saudis of substance in the US are treated as diplomats — so the rules of regular society don’t apply to them.
