Technology In Africa: The Zimbabwean Inventor Who Has Invented Things That Defy The Laws Of Science

A genius inventor from Zimbabwe has showed his invention in an Open Day, displaying many wonderful technological gadgets and equipment he has invented over the years.

Sangulan Maxwell Chikumbutso is said to have also invented various disruptive technologies that will shift the way science is working in our modern era.

Among the prototypes of the things he has invented include an electricity powered car (Saith EV) that is said to be far better than the electrical cars of Telsa, a helicopter (Saith Hex_Copter) that works on five fuels, Microsonic powered generator (Greener Power Machine), a drone, surveillance towers, mobile broadcast communication backpack, intelligent IP Mesh backpack and household transformer that can multiply power hundredfold.

According to Chikumbutso, his inventions “defy the laws of physics” and to that extent he has found it difficulty in getting many of his inventions patented worldwide. Although he has established a company called Saith Technologies which will be marketing his products, it is said the company is struggling due to the popular believe in Zimbabwe that he is using witchcraft and supernatural powers in the things that he invents.

Here are some of the prototypes in pictures:

Chikumbutso is said to be a man of limited formal education. He was born in 1980 and grew up in the high-density suburb of Kuwadzana, in the Zimbabwean capital-Harare. He completed his primary education at Kuwadzana 5 Primary School and secondary education up to form 2 at Dzivaresekwa High. His education up to this stage was said to have been sponsored through Social Welfare until he dropped out.

According to his personality profile story on Zimbabwe Technology, after dropping out of school, he started experimenting with technology and one point; he was profiled on local TV as a prominent young man in the Kuwadzana area. It is said he had aspired to become a mechanic, possibly inspired by his father who was a qualified mechanic.

He said in an interview that he is a devout Christian and that in September of 1997, while praying at a certain mountain he received the scripture in Isaiah 46 from where he was commanded to take the name Saith Technologies which is now the official name for his company. At the same time, he began receiving strange visions and visible blueprints even though he did not know any electronics at all. He said he learned most of what he knows about electronics from those visions.

In 1999, he said he built his first successful project which was a Radio broadcast transmitter for which he made the headlines on Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation news. However, the radio project did not materialized due to lack of funding.

He said he started to receive a little recognition when in 2001 when he developed a Digital Navigation Facilitator which is used to facilitate landing of aircraft from variables that include the size of the aircraft, its position in altitude, speed and so on. The device was taken to the Air Zimbabwe Technical Training Centre where it was assessed and given commendation by aircraft engineers. The device then became the first modification of a Zimbabwean Aircraft Technology since 1980.

He said at the time when he invented this aviation device, he had never been in an airplane before. For his green generator, he said he had the idea back in 2003 and started to work on it until it was able to generate 1,200 Watts of power but nobody was interested in funding it.

According to him, he has the technical know-how like many other successful inventors but lack of funding is killing his initiatives. He was quoted as saying “I dropped out of school, but I am a genius story, synonymous with some of the successful people we know today”.

His final breakthrough came when he finally met the Angolan born pastor and businessman, Dr Teddy De Almeida in South Africa 2008. Dr. Almeida who owns one of the biggest energy companies in Angola is said to have taken interest in Chikumbutso inventions and gave him $500,000 free of charge to start something. For Chikumbutso, all the things he his displaying today would not have been possible without the support of Dr. Almeida. He has therefore invited Dr. Almeida to take shares in Saith Technologies.
