It has emerged that a college student, who regularly tweeted his fear of police brutality in the United States, was killed by the same police he had feared only one week later.
19-year-old athlete, Christian Taylor was also said to be a defensive back for the Angelo State University football team. He was gunned down by a rookie Texas cop on August 7th, just after midnight.
The New York Daily News reported that the Arlington Police Department said Taylor allegedly drove an SUV through the showroom glass doors at Classic Buick/GMC in Arlington and Officer Brad Miller, 49, and his training officer were the only cops who initially responded to the incident.
It is said when the officers arrived, they found Taylor inside the showroom and Miller shot and killed the unarmed black teen after a brief scuffle.
A confirmed report by many local media reporters said Miller had graduated from the police academy in March of 2014, and joined the Arlington Police Department in September of the same year. He had never fired his weapon while on duty before the overnight encounter with Taylor.
Checks on Taylor’s Twitter account revealed that he had been an active voice against police brutality in the US since the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, by Officer Darren Wilson. He had also spoken against the killing of Eric Garner in Staten Island last year, and Freddie Gray’s death in Baltimore which all involved police shootings and killing them while they were unarmed.

But what left many stunned is when it was discovered that he had tweeted on July 31st, 2015, “I don’t wanna die too younggggg.” But on August 7th, 2015, his fear came true. This has left many with questions.

Since the tragic incident, many have said he saw that he will fall for police brutality, hence publicly voicing it out but the country failed to protect him from becoming another victim.
Police taking black lives as easy as flippin a coin, with no consequences smh

Friends and family described Taylor as a fun-loving kid with a bright future and cast doubt on any criminal wrongdoing. His great-uncle, Clyde Fuller, also described Taylor as a good boy and talented football player and also cast doubt on the police’s version of events that Taylor was burglarizing a car dealership. “He was a good kid. I don’t see him stealing no car or nothing like that. I think something is going on that somebody is lying about,” he said.
Our police system is a joke, when will we ever be protected? — October 13th (@he_got_sneaks) December 24, 2014
The USuncut reported that the killing of Taylor without due process is in contrast to the Arlington Police Department’s treatment of white perpetrators. According to the media outlet, in October of 2013, Arlington police allowed Joel Jonas, a white male, to surrender after he fatally shot a man and fired upon officers.

U.S. police are nothing but hired-guns. Murderers with badges and the perceived notion of a “License to kill”. Cowards who can only shoot unarmed civilians because they couldn’t handle being shot back at as soldiers in a real war.
