Jihadi John, the hooded ISIS executioner seen in several hostage YouTube videos showing the beheadings of a number of captives in 2014 and 2015, has reportedly fled the Islamic State terror network and gone on the run in Syria. John is wanted for the gruesome killings of British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning, American aid worker Peter Kassig , American journalists Stephen Sotloff and James Foley, and Japanese nationals Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto.

A report published in Mirror suggests he may be on the run from ISIS because since he was identified as the murderer of British and American hostages, he is terrified by the publicity and fears being hunted down. He is also believed to fear his unmasking had diminished his value as an ISIS killer and also that jealous fellow jihadists might plot against him.

Emwazi was born in 1988 in Kuwait. The family moved to the United Kingdom in 1994 and settled in west London. In 2006, he went to the University of Westminster where he studied computer programming. In 2009, he worked as a salesman at an IT company in Kuwait. To fight alongside the jihadists, he joined ISIS in Syria in 2012 as a ‘warrior’. In 2015, after mercilessly beheading innocent hostages, Emwazi fled ISIS fearing for his own head…
