Not Just Autism, Major Yale Study Shows Vaccines Tied To Multiple Brain Disorders

Scientist found a strong correlation between vaccines and developing a brain disorder such as OCD, anorexia, ADHD, and major depressive disorders.

It is no question that the subject of vaccines is profoundly controversial. On both sides of the argument exist truths and lies that can hinder the ability of some to make rational decisions.

For the last 50 years, the world has taken a front row seat to the phenomenological occurrences of the rise of brain disorders such as Autism, ADHD, and major depressive disorders. Anecdotally speaking, parents all over the globe have reported that one day their children were normal and growing healthily, and the next, after having gotten their vaccinations, they get Autism, or ADHD, for example.

While science and the government continue to maintain there’s no causal relation between the vaccines and the disorders, parents, multiple studies, and other countries have reported otherwise. Now, it seems, some very brave and unabashed scientists have been able to show a correlation of what many have known for quite some time.

It has also been proven that CDC scientists destroyed data that showed a correlation between vaccines and autism in children.

Researchers at Pennsylvania State and Yale University sought to examine, “whether antecedent vaccinations are associated with increased incidence of obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), anorexia nervosa (AN), anxiety disorder, chronic tic disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, major depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder in a national sample of privately insured children.”

Controlling for broken bones and open wounds (control means to use commonly occurring instances as a contrast method), the researchers concluded that someone who’d received the Flu vaccine within the last year “were also associated with incident diagnoses of AN, OCD, and an anxiety disorder.” These findings greatly expand the common understandings that vaccines are related to Autism and now include the other three brain-based illnesses.

The study used private insurance claims information as their means of collecting the data. “Using claims data, we compared the prior year’s occurrence of vaccinations in children and adolescents aged 6–15 years with the above neuropsychiatric disorders that were newly diagnosed between January 2002 and December 2007,” the study writes.

Moreover, the correlations were not limited to the Flu vaccine either. According to the published study found in the Journal Frontiers in Psychiatry, “Several other associations were also significant with HRs greater than 1.40 (hepatitis A with OCD and AN; hepatitis B with AN,” meaning the hepatitis vaccines are also implicated in causing brain disorders.

As with most research studies, the researchers stop short of claiming the vaccinations cause the all too common brain disorders. “This pilot epidemiologic analysis implies that the onset of some neuropsychiatric disorders may be temporally related to prior vaccinations in a subset of individuals,” they write adding the, “findings warrant further investigation, but do not prove a causal role of antecedent infections or vaccinations in the pathoetiology of these conditions.”

The researchers also warn against the public deciding not to vaccinate their children. “Given the modest magnitude of these findings in contrast to the clear public health benefits of the timely administration of vaccines in preventing mortality and morbidity in childhood infectious diseases, we encourage families to maintain vaccination schedules according to CDC guidelines,” they conclude.

While we have everyone from attorneys to biologists, to political scientists who write for the Free Thought Project, none of us are doctors, so we do not make recommendations about what you and your family should do in regards to vaccination. That being said, the drug makers have an incentive for you not to see this information which means it will not be reported on in the mainstream media as their advertising dollars are tied directly to these companies. So, we find that it is our duty to spread this information and with your help sharing it, we can have a massive effect.

    • Ummm what? You don’t give vaccines for disorders. Most vaccines are given at such a young age before the disorders develop. Though some vaccines can help and save lives, particularly in developing countries, they also come with their own dangers and harm. As a society we have to weigh the pros and cons. This comes down to individual choice and ones own medical history.

  1. Please if you are not a criminal or a psychopath do not share this kind of news. These cannot even be called news but the highest expression of “alternative facts ” in pure Trump’s fashion. So disappointed by this page. I thought they care about sharing reliable information. Instead, like 99% of pages on internet it is just a hub to give voice to ignorant people searching for their 5 minutes of glory. Disgusting

    • May I remind you that this is a report about scientifically obtained data published in a peer reviewed paper? You can’t get ‘news’ that’s any more credible and reliable than that.
Except of course if it’s one of those fraudulently generated ‘scientific articles’ written by some marketeer at some pharmacological company and that has been signed by some obscure university professor that has been paid a few thousand for that.
Further, the POTUS has nothing to do with this. Yet.

  2. This only refers to correlations not causation, two very different things. A bit of a non-article here, a lot of implying but no solid fact basis.

    • Correlation, yes, that’s exactly what they said.
Nobody used the word ‘causation’ here.
The correlation has been solidly established based on the available facts and after carefully controlling for possible confounding factors.

  3. Is this whole article click-bait or just irresponsible drivel ?
As a father of a child with health issues, i spent a looong time looking into these claims. Only to reach the same conclusion as the courts – the evil bastard that started this nonsence did so for personal financial gain.
While there are always a few people suffering complications, with all medicines, there is NO evidence that vaccinations have CAUSED any ill heath (in people without prior problems).

My opinion of this website has just sunk to sewer level.

    • If it were click-bait then a very useful one this time.
The bait is to the original article, and you can also click on the link to the scientific article.
Sorry to hear about the health issues of your child.
After looking a long time you might have been satisfied to finally find a claim (as to correlation) that is supported by solid data and science. I would.
And while you don’t mention which ‘evil bastard’ you’re aiming at, I take it that his name his Andrew Wakefield, whose words also have been taken out of its context, then turned around and twisted, as the only thing he advised (in the press conference where they announced their findings) was to merely WAIT a little longer before administering the measles vaccine, separately from mumps and rubella.
So you might review your opinion about this guy.

  4. All of the following are quotes directly from the research paper. In addition, the confidence intervals for a lot of the hazard ratios are very close to 1 (one of them actually is) and the hazard ratios themselves are not particularly alarming for the sample size and span:
“…the association of the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine with autism spectrum disorder has been convincingly disproven
These findings warrant further investigation, but do not prove a causal role of antecedent infections or vaccinations in the pathoetiology of these conditions. Given the modest magnitude of these findings in contrast to the clear public health benefits of the timely administration of vaccines in preventing mortality and morbidity in childhood infectious diseases, we encourage families to maintain vaccination schedules according to CDC guidelines.
Receipt of any vaccine in the previous 6 months was highest for children with AN (21.4%), followed by OCD (15.9%) and tic disorder (15.8%), and was lowest for children with open wounds (10.3%).
In addition, children with major depression were less likely to have had a vaccination in all 3 preceding periods, and children with bipolar disorder were also less likely to have had a vaccination in the 6- or 12-month preceding periods.
Perhaps the largest limitation and potential threat to the study’s validity has to do with the fundamental impossibility of detecting a causal relationship within the context of such a case–control study. Indeed, this provides no more than a relative perspective of the potential risk, as opposed to the absolute risk (the real proportion of individuals who had a vaccination and then developed one or more of the investigated conditions) that might be expected to be reasonably small.
The present study has the potential to extend our knowledge about the role of the immune system in some pediatric-onset neuropsychiatric disorders. However, our findings do not demonstrate a causal role of vaccination in the pathoetiology of any of these conditions. This is especially important given the clear public health benefits of the timely administration of vaccines in preventing mortality and morbidity (38). Vaccines are among the most successful and cost-effective preventive public health interventions (39). Vaccination has led to eradication of smallpox, and we are close to the eradication of poliomyelitis across the world. Since most of the vaccine-preventable diseases are contagious from person to person, the increase in numbers of vaccinated individuals will decrease the chance of a disease to spread. Proper vaccination not only protects our generation but also protects future generations against epidemics of diseases. It should always be kept in mind that vaccines are crucial for eradicating infectious diseases and preventing the higher rates of morbidity and mortality due to infections. However, care should be taken to ensure that children scheduled to receive vaccinations are in good health and that recommended precautions are taken at the time a vaccine is to be administered”

  5. Vaccines don’t cause autism or any other brain disorder simply because they can’t.Plus since the world is developing and a faster rate and more and more people get vaccines,it’s pretty obvious an increased percentage of them would be individuals with brain disorder.Ive got OCD but I don’t think it’s because of vaccines.Plus it could be attribute the fact that since more and more people with mental disorders are able to live a normal life,it wouldn’t be a long shot to assume their kids would get brain disorders too regardless of whether vaccines were give or not.Maybe the cdc scrapped studies because it would lead to faulty fear momgering about vaccines.

  6. According to the journal: “However, these findings, even if replicated in future studies, do not prove a casual role of vaccination in the pathoetiology of any of these conditions. Indeed, antecedent infections may also increase the risk of developing one or more of these disorders in vulnerable individuals. Finally, given the modest magnitude of these findings and the clear public health benefits of the timely administration of vaccines in preventing mortality and morbidity in childhood, we encourage families to maintain the currently recommended vaccination schedules while taking all necessary precautions as documented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”. But why read the article, just grab the scary title and run with it.

  7. First up, the new study opens: “the association of the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine with autism spectrum disorder has been convincingly disproven”

That rather blows the headline out of the water, doesn’t it?

Second, the CDC did not “destroy data”. It’s available to qualified researchers, and even to unqualified ones like Brian Hooker, the man who recorded William Thompson without his knowledge or consent, quote-mined his statements, then produced a piece of statistical analysis so incompetent that it was rapidly withdrawn. That’s the so-called “CDC whistleblower” narrative in a nutshell. Turns outt hat the group in question – African-American boys vaccinated before the age of three – were vaccinated *because of autism diagnosis* as a condition of entry into treatment programs, not the other way round.

Third, the study in question is weak and speculative, and published in a journal given over to speculative findings. There are many reasons why an association might or might not be evidence of a causal link, and this paper does not state that there is any causal link.

If you believe this paper, then you have to accept that vaccines don’t cause autism. If you want to continue to state that vaccines cause autism in children of all races then you have to discount the “CDC whistleblower”narrative because the study that provided the data shows unambiguosuly that there was no association outside the subgroup of African-American boys. If you want to choose the things form all three arguments – Wakefield, CDC and this paper – that make vaccines look bad, then you are accepting mutually contradictory arguments in order to support a pre-existing belief which is robustly contradicted by massive amounts of evidence.

  8. And if you read the tables in the study, it appears that vaccines reduce the risk of depression and bipolar disorder . . . . with so many comparisons made in the study, these increases and reductions in risk are likely just statistical noise.

  9. Vaccinations are given to children between 6 – 15 years old.

Autism spectrum disorders, excpet in extreme cases cannot be diagnosed before a child is six years old.

Therefore you often won’t know if a child is on the spectrum until AFTER they have had a vaccination.

Not enough detail is given here, we cannot judge the credibilty of this study, and yet the title states the finding as fact. That is hideously dangerous, autism is a problem for some people, many live their lives as full and happy or even more happy than people without it. But vaccinations absolutely save lives, This clickbait fucking dangerous and these “journalists” should be ashamed of themselves.

    • Wow, you obviously do not have any children. Babies have been given the Hep B vaccine at birth since 1990. At 2 months of age they receive DTaP, HiB, Polio, Pneumoccocal, Hep B, etc. This combination is then given again at 4 months and at 6 months of age (@6 months add a flu shot). Then at 12 months they are given MMR and Chickenpox. At 15 and 18 months repeat the 2,4,6 month combination. If you don’t believe go to cdcdotgov it’s all right there for everyone to read

  10. This article is misrepresenting the findings of the study. I’m not sure the writers of this article read the actual study, or if they did, they are certainly misrepresenting the findings. This IS a good example of Fake News. Here is what the actual study said in its conclusions:

“This pilot epidemiologic analysis implies that the onset of some neuropsychiatric disorders may be temporally related to prior vaccinations in a subset of individuals. These findings warrant further investigation, but do not prove a causal role of antecedent infections or vaccinations in the pathoetiology of these conditions. Given the modest magnitude of these findings in contrast to the clear public health benefits of the timely administration of vaccines in preventing mortality and morbidity in childhood infectious diseases, we encourage families to maintain vaccination schedules according to CDC guidelines.”

  11. First, their data is from insurance claims. Therefore, the data is skewed because only people who are diligent and likely to seek medical care in all instances are reported, thus a higher percentage of finding any disease or mental health condition.
Second, it says disease or vaccine. The conclusion the article makes is completely wrong re Hepatitis. The study means that post hepatitis disease can sometimes be followed by those disorders, not any vaccine. This makes sense because hepatitis affects the liver, and liver and kidney problems can manifest in neurologic symptoms. All the claims of vaccine issues are not well founded. I’d be less skeptical if they were claiming immune disorders, as that is more likely…

  12. I smell a rat.
From the more than 20 articles here on anonhq that I’ve read today, only this one has received any attention. Almost all comments are positive with respect to vaccines and negative against any criticism of vaccines.
It seems as if a whole army of industry protectors has been sent here to kill of this article and any possible impact of it.

  13. I know what it is like to have a VERY NEUROTOXIC reaction…..as I started to hallucinate on pill #3 with mefloquine…the only anti-malarial recommended to me in 1998 for a trip to Thailand. It was SO OBVIOUS to me that I was impaired from the drug, that my husband and I both decided to discontinue the once a week drug and switch to an alternative. The “vivid dreams” and paranoia were supposedly normal and acceptable side effects. Australian backpackers were also sharing the stories of buddies who had episodes of complete psychosis on this drug. Well, oddly enough, this anti-malarial some 25 years later is no longer recommended as drug of first choice? What happened along the way? Well, thousands of soldiers were BRAIN INJURED from prolonged and ordered use of this drug despite the very common horrible side effects. Wonder why there is an epidemic of PTSD and suicide in Veterans? It is because they actually have misdiagnosed brain injuries and are being mistreated with psychiatric meds! This world is a crazy place indeed.

  14. I am so tired of pHARMa shills. Vaccines DO cause harm! 1 in 10 kids are diagnosed w/ ADD?ADHD, 1 in 20, under 5 have a seizure disorder, 1 in 12 have food allergies, 1 in 45 have Autism. This is NOT Normal, wake the f**k up! Children today receive 72 doses of 16 vaccines, 49 doses before they enter kindergarten. 1 in 2 kids have a chronic disease. 1 in 7 is developmentally delayed. NOT NORMAL
