Court Documents Show Darren Wilson Lied About Michael Brown Shooting

Documents from the civil lawsuit filed in regards to the fatal shooting of Mike Brown, reveal how Officer Darren Wilson and his fellow officers in Ferguson truly felt about those they were supposed to be protecting and serving. Sworn statements from Wilson during deposition show that he and his cohorts used the N-word when referring to the African American community they served. Besides the uncovered overt racism prevalent in the Ferguson PD, the deposition documents showed that Wilson lied about what happened during his encounter with Mike Brown.

Darren Wilson went on national television and told the world that he didn’t attempt to grab Mike Brown through the open window of his police SUV because “that would go against everything” he learned about being an officer. This was a lie. The court documents clearly indicate that Wilson’s entire story about Brown trying to grab his gun and all the events that he claimed occurred were part of his elaborate cover-up. After claiming it was Brown who grabbed him through the open window of the SUV, the documents told another story.

The statements here completely undermine the police narrative that Brown was the aggressor, and clearly show that Wilson admits that he attempted to grab Mike Brown through the open window of his vehicle – a gross violation of police policy. Officer Wilson created a violent situation, panicked, and then murdered a man in cold blood. He then fabricated his story and sold it to the police and prosecutors. His lies wouldn’t have been uncovered if not for the civil suit brought against the Ferguson Police Department.

According to St. Louis University Law Professor Marcia McCormick, the document that was released was called a “request for admission.” McCormick told a local St. Louis media outlet, “It’s designed to narrow down the issues in dispute in part. It’s also designed to serve later as a check on somebody changing their story once you get to trial.” When asked if the document impacts Wilson’s credibility in the event, McCormick stated, “Well I think it does, if he lied about this particular thing which he used to justify his conduct at the time, what else did he lie about?”

When asked if he’d made racist remarks on-duty, Wilson replied, “I have repeated a racist remark made by someone else, but I have not made a racist remark against another individual while on duty as a police officer.” Does Wilson actually believe that by repeating a racist remark that someone else made, it makes him any less of a racist piece of sh*t? Is this the level of ignorance that our police departments feel they need to employ? According to Wilson’s attorney Greg Kloeppel, “Officer Wilson did admit in discovery responses that he used the n-word and has heard former officer(s) use the n-word on at least one occasion but, he did so while repeating/reporting what a victim, witness or suspect etc., relayed to him while conducting an investigation or preparing a report.”

The county prosecutors and the Department of Justice have already white-washed this case, leaving no hope for any type of prosecution of Darren Wilson. As usual, it’s only in a civil court where the family will be able to find justice for the murder of their child. More and more information keeps coming out about this case, however, there’s little left to discover that would make any other impact on justice.
