Developing: Newly Declassified Document Hints Possible Saudi Links to 9/11 Hijackers

Many observers have long suspected the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of being involved in the devastating 9/11 attack in the United States. Out of the 19 terrorists who carried out the attack, it is believed 15 of them are Saudi nationals.

However, the United States government has consistently said there is no evidence to back this suspicion.  In 2014, President Barack Obama ordered the declassification of a 28-page report that was missing from the Final Report authored by the 9/11 Commission. Despite the order by Obama, the document is yet to be published.  It is rumored that the 28 missing pages have implicated the Saudis’ of providing direct help to the hijackers. According to observers, the missing pages were blocked by former President, George W. Bush; not to be published publicly simply because he did not want to destroy America’s relations with Saudi Arabia.

In June 2016, the Head of the Central Intelligence Agency, John Brennan told Saudi-owned Arabiya TV that the missing 28 pages would be published, and that they contain no evidence implicating the Saudi government in aiding the terrorists. Mr Brennan said “I think the 28 pages will be published and I support their publication and everyone will see the evidence that the Saudi government had nothing to do with it.”

In May 2016, the United States Senate passed the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, which allows victims of terror attacks or surviving family members to bring lawsuits against nation-states for activities supporting terrorism. President Obama has said publicly that he will not sign the bill into law. Saudi officials have also spoken out strongly against the bill. The Kingdom has threatened to sell about $750 billion in United States treasury securities and other assets if the bill is signed into law. Observers say if the bill is signed into the law, the Saudi government will suffer many lawsuits from those who suffered from the 9/11 attack. It is against this that Mr Obama is refusing to sign the bill into law.

As the United States government keeps shielding the Saudi government without allowing the law to determine the incident, the latest developing story is that a newly declassified report of the 9/11 incident has listed some individuals who investigators want to investigate for possible links from Saudi Arabia to the hijackers. This declassified document is different from the missing 28 pages of the Final Report.

The declassified document is titled “File 17.” It was compiled by Dana Lesemann and Michael Jacobson. File 17 explicitly named two individuals, Fahad Al-Thumairy and Omar Al-Bayoumi as having aided the hijackers. Before the attack, Al-Thumairy is said to be an imam at the King Fahad Mosque in Culver City, California. It is said Al-Thumairy was officially accredited by the Saudi consulate in Los Angeles. The report alleged that Al-Thumairy helped two of the hijackers after they arrived in the city.

s

Also, the document alleged that Al-Thumairy and Al-Bayoumi knew each other and had regular phone conversations. Al-Bayoumi is said to be a Saudi national. He allegedly provided considerable assistance to two of the hijackers, Nawaf Al-Hazmi and Khalid Al-Mihdhar. These two hijackers arrived in San Diego in February 2000. The report said Al-Bayoumi left the United States weeks before the attack after playing his role.

Some excerpts from File 17 said: “Al-Bayoumi has extensive ties to the Saudi government and many in the local Muslim community in San Diego believed that he was a Saudi intelligence officer.”

Former Democratic Senator from Florida, Bob Graham, who was the co-chairman of the congressional inquiry on the attack said he believes the hijackers had access to an extensive Saudi support system while they were in the United States prior to the attack.

“Much of the information upon which File 17 was written was based on what’s in the 28 pages. File 17 said, ‘Here are some additional unanswered questions and here is how we think the 9/11 Commission, the FBI and the CIA should go about finding the answers,’” Mr Graham said.

  1. What are ya talkin abt? No need to invade saudi, that place has the least resistance against the killings of our brothers, the rulers, as far as i know. That place is a corrupt at the core and brings shame to the name of a true muslim monarchy

  2. Why would the Saudis do this? What do they hope to gain? Perhaps they were helping other security services to achieve a specific goal. Why would a terrorist group attack the World Trade Centre effectively declaring war on the world? Well of course they wouldnt leave themselves with nowhere to hide. However, if you were looking to destabilize the Middle East and had plans on invading countries illegally without the UN mandates then this horrific attack would really help. You could then go around the world to every country stating as George Bush did: You are either with us or against us. Why is the US covering this up? Really because of money or because the Saudis will let the cat out of the bag as to who they were really working with

  3. OF COURSE: Saudi Arabia has been financing the teaching of radical Islam – Whabbism – for decades, throughout the whole world!
