Jared Fogle made a name for himself after he shed 200 pounds on a diet that solely consisted of food items that are sold by the food chain Subway. He became a well-known spokesman for the food giant, and in 2004 established his own foundation to combat childhood obesity.
Fogle has recently made the headlines again; however, this time it is for his more sinister actions with children. According to reports, Fogle is suspected of involving himself with pornography and has made attempts to lure children into sexual acts with himself.
Recordings of the ex-Subway spokesman’s encounters with children have recently been released. Journalist Rochelle Herman-Walron, spent five years secretly recording phone conversations with Fogle, documenting his intentions to lure children into travelling and engaging in illicit sexual acts.
These recordings have highlighted evidence against his plot, and are now being aired on a “Dr. Phil” show across consecutive days.

In the audio, Fogle discussed with Herman-Walrond a possible sexual exploit in “Thailand or wherever you wanna go.” “I want Kathy [presumably Fogle made a reference to his wife Katie Fogle] to be involved with us too, baby,” Fogle says in the recording. “And I would fly the three of us clear across the world if we need to.” He then continues to say that, “It would just make things a lot easier – if we’re gonna try to get some young kids with us.” The plans become more elaborate as he discussed how he plans to entice his victims. “We just start sharing stories, and then, you know, we get a little closer, and a little closer, and a little closer, and before you know it, it just starts to happen,” he tells Herman-Walrond.

According to a statement from the FBI, the Federal Bureau of Investigation was responsive to Herman-Walrond’s recordings of these conversations and her cooperation with the Bureau; however, the recordings did not form the initial part of the federal investigation.
“They were not part of our initial investigation – and it wasn’t part of the infancy of any of it. We are aware of what they had to say and we took the recordings into account,” Tim Horty, a spokesman for the US Attorney’s Office, said this week.
The former Subway spokesman has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, after he pleaded guilty to the child pornography-related charges that were made. Fogle will serve a minimum of 13 years before being eligible for parole. He has also agreed to pay $100,000 to each of his 14 victims, according to ABC news.

Anonymous does a great job at presenting the underbelly. However, referring to Dr. Phil’s show is a bit like dancing with the devil. That show is in the same vein as Maury Povich, Geraldo, and those other scandaltainments. I would encourage Anonymous to take the high road and distance itself from such tripe.
