The Free Thought Project has brought a couple cases to light that outlines the justice system for the average citizen compared to the justice law enforcement agents receive. They also bring to attention the fact that as a society we cringe at open sexual acts, yet violence in the media is considered acceptable.
“We live in a world where we have to hide to make love, while violence is practiced in broad daylight.” – John Lennon
Manatee, FL – Jose Caballero was convicted in May of having sex on the beach after he and his girlfriend, Elissa Alvarez, were “caught” and filmed on July 20, 2014. He was given 2 ½ years in prison as punishment.
Meanwhile in Houston, Texas: Former cop, John Van Trump, 69, was convicted of sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend’s daughter from the age of five, until she was eight and Trump was finally arrested. The details of the assaults were reported to be so heinous, they could not be released to the public.
Since the young girl who was victimized by Trump was under six-years-old, the crime falls under “Jessica’s Law,” and the minimum sentence for an assault such as this is 25 years.
Trump received no prison time whatsoever.
He was instead sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication (a type of probation that is not considered a conviction) for aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to Harris County court records.

While most people would agree that having sex on a public beach isn’t the wisest, or classiest, course of action, there are some who question whether or not a 2 ½ year prison sentence really fits the crime, especially in light of the pedophile police officer who’s apparently free to assault all the children he wants due to his many years’ service on the police force—the judge and prosecutors may as well have chipped in and bought him an ice cream truck.
The woman who caught the couple on camera was apparently so offended, she felt the need to pull out her phone and record it for a while. According to the video below, it was someone else who actually reported it. The couple are still in their bathing suits, but according to witnesses, it was clear what was happening.
And now the irony is presented:
“The full on destruction of a city, in which men, women, and children were blown to pieces by US bombs can be broadcast into every home across America, and this is good. Wholesale murder and violence, sanctioned by the state, is not only accepted, it is glorified.”
As the Free Thought Project points out, no one who started these wars has been punished, despite the fact their entire premise is based on lies. Thousands of Americans have been killed, left permanently disfigured, and millions in the Middle East have died. And this is considered good, while here in the states, a kinky couple uses lack of better judgement, and “the same state that advertises government sanctioned murder on TV, says the couple are criminals and deserve to be locked in a cage.”
Perhaps it’s time for Americans to prioritize their values. We are addicted to violence while we persecute love. In fact, everything the state requires is backed with the promise of violence.
“If normal human beings can convince others perform tasks for them or exchange goods and services without enacting or threatening each other with violence then it’s entirely possible for a system of order to exist without violence being the lynchpin that holds it together. If such a society is not attainable then humanity’s days are surely numbered.”
