Anonymous Operation HTown

For many years the Huntington City Mission has provided a service to the City of Huntington, West Virginia by giving food and/or shelter to the nearly 400 homeless residents of the city year round. There has been many contributors over the years that has kept the pantry of the City Mission fully stocked with food. These contributors also include WalMart on Route 60 as well as many private politicly influential donors. However, this year many of these private donors have not come through in one the most vital times of the year, the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday season. This is what ANONOP HTOWN is about, for the past month and half, the Tucker Memorial Baptist Church, lead by Pastor Chadd Hatfield has been spear heading the charge to fill the pantry but with the daily influx of homeless seeking shelter from the near freezing temperatures that Huntington gets this time of year, the pantry stays nearly empty. This means, many go hungry on some nights or they go dumpster diving for scraps at restaurants. No human being should have to sleep on the street much less having to go rumaging in restaurant dumpsters and trash cans for food.

There is only so much a small church like Tucker Memorial can do to help the mission due to how small their congregation is. That is where they have turned to Anonymous asking for help. Not knowing that I am an Anon, the Pastor of Tucker Memorial asked for all the help he can get in filling the Huntington, West Virginia City Mission Pantry with food. I have already made many donations of food in the Anonymous name hand delivering them masked up, but one person is not enough. With that said, at noon eastern standard time on December 19, 2014 OPHTOWN will be holding March on the Mission beginning at Joan C. Edwards Stadium on the corner of 20th Street and 3rd Avenue and ending in the Mission Chapel’s parking lot on 7th Avenue. Our Goal is to raise awareness amongst the City of Huntington residents that the Mission Pantry needs help. Affecting this turn around for a deserving organization that helps those in need is indeed something we as Anons both nationally and globally can do. We can fill that Mission to the brim with food. So I am calling on all Anons who can make it to Huntington, West Virginia on the 19th of December to join me in turning this troubling time around.

How Much Money Have American Taxpayers Spent on Building a Domestic Police State?

2

Written by: Joseph Lemieux at theantimedia.org

The Posse Comitatus Act was enacted to prevent any federal military force from implanting itself on american streets, and enacting as a civilian law enforcement. Many consider such an act as Martial law, or military rule. Don’t fret, the federal government has found a way around this act, and its called the 1033 program that began in the 90′s!

The 1033 program has flooded our local police forces with military equipment, and has turned them from Peace Officers, to a domestic army. The founders have warned us that a domestic army would be the greatest threat to american freedom, and they might just be right. It’s not hard to see as our police forces respond to not only warrants for non violent drug offences, but protests with an overwhelming military style presence. Officers has stopped looking like officers, and more like soldiers all kitted out with fully automatic weapons, armored vehicles, body armor, grenades launchers, night vision, and even bayonets! Besides the cost of liberty, how much has this domestic army cost you the tax payer?

It’s estimated over $4.3 billion worth of property has been distributed to local agencies. states-without-mras

Keep in mind that through this program, other property is transferred as well, like office supplies, medical equipment ect. The entirety of the price tag is not just on weapons. With that in mind there is still well over 500 MRAP vehicles in the hands of local police, and thousands of other weapons. MRAPs owned by local police are more than likely in your very own county! Also keep in mind these numbers do not include other portions of the the police state such as the NSA’s budget, which is in the billions.

These are weapons of war in the streets of America, held by the same people that tell you your semi-automatic rifle is a weapon of war, and shouldn’t belong in civilian hands. Now people like to bash government for it’s wasteful spending, but it seems they are being more responsible in this case, bringing those weapons of war used to oppress people in distant lands, right back at home!

Video of Man Getting Detained for Walking with His Hands in His Pockets Goes Viral, Police Forced to Respond

8

Written by: Llywellyn Bird at the antimedia.org

First broken by the Pontiac Tribune Friday evening, the story of Pontiac, Michigan, resident Brandon McKean’s encounter with an Oakland County Sheriff’s officer on Thanksgiving has taken on a life of its own, with critics voicing concerns over police invasion of privacy as well as potential racial profiling. Both police and McKean responded today.

The Sheriff’s Office, in a statement posted to Facebook along with the officer’s video of the incident, claimed that the original video, as well as initial media and social media responses, mischaracterized the event for the purpose of advancing an agenda:

“Often times, individuals share things without knowing the facts and in some cases promote a specific agenda unrelated to the reality of the situation. Shocking that the internet does not tell the full picture or people use this for an agenda-right?”

Of the call to police sparking the incident, the statement reads that: “[the call] originated from a nearby business that had been a victim, as well as its employees, of seven robberies.”

“The caller and his employees were concerned about the individual who had walked by the front window of the business five or six times, while looking inside with his hands in his pockets. Fearing for their safety, the business dialed 911 and the Deputy responded.”

The details of the business having been robbed seven times was new as of this statement, and according to McKean, was not told to him at the time of the stop.

McKean also contested the Sheriff Office’s characterization that he had walked past the business five or six times, telling The Anti-Media on Monday that he had simply walked to a friend’s house and back, and that he was not notified of this detail by the officer, either.

Police detain man for walking with hands in pockets

Asked by the Oakland Press about the incident, McKean said he originally suspected racial profiling, but could understand why an officer was dispatched.

“Originally, I thought it was racial profiling, either on behalf of the officer or the civilian who called,” McKean said Monday.

“But when I heard the (911) call that was made … I guess I understand why they called.”

On whether McKean was ‘detained,’ the Sheriff’s Office denies that assertion.

“The Deputy did not detain or pat down the individual and considering the nature of the call responded in a very restrained and professional manner.”

In the video, the officer’s cruiser can be seen on the road with its lights on, which, when asked by the Pontiac Tribune, McKean said that he believed this amounted to an involuntary stop, one that would not allow for him to keep walking freely.

While “probable cause” is required for an arrest, only a “reasonable suspicion” is required for a brief detention.

What police apparently fail to recognize is that having hands in your pockets is an alarmingly low standard for reasonable suspicion. And if Brandon McKean was not being detained, he certainly did not believe he was free to continue on his way.

Finally Bipartisanship: Nearly Every Member of Congress Votes to Move US Closer to WWIII

Did your state representatives vote ‘Yes’ on the bill for Obama to send weapons to Ukraine?

It’s a bill authorizing Obama to supply weapons to the bankrupt Ukrainian Government to exterminate (and/or drive out into neighboring Russia) the people in the areas of Ukraine’s southeast that had voted 90% for the Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych, whom Obama overthrew in a bloody coup in February 2014; but, of course, that’s not how it’s worded.

Here is how it’s worded:

Here’s the vote, on December 4th:

Fox “News”: American Public Needs to be Trained to be More Sensitive Toward Police

26

Written by: Nick Bernabe at theantimedia.org

Fox “News” host, Jeanine Pirro, closed out her segment of Justice with Judge Jeanine with an ‘Instapoll‘ asking their notoriously ignorant, neoconservative audience about police violence directed at the minority community. While the results of the poll from Fox viewers is not surprising, the utter stupidity of Fox and their out of touch viewers is rarely broadcasted in this raw of a form.

What was displayed in this short clip (posted below) can only be described as boot-licking statism with a little dash of racism. I won’t repeat what was said, but you can hear it for yourself. This is Fox “News’” response to the nationwide anti-police brutality protests that have rocked the entire country following the shooting death of Mike Brown, the choking death of Eric Garner, and the hundreds of other Americans that have been gunned down in the streets by police this year, many of whom were minorities.
