Twitter Makes Statement About Reinstating Trump On Platform After Free Speech Advocate Elon Musk Becomes Largest Shareholder

0

Last monday, it was announced that Elon Musk, the world’s richest man purchased $3 billion in Twitter stock, making him the largest stockholder in the company.

Before his massive stock purchase, Musk was asking questions about censorship on Twitter.

The richest man in the world posted a poll on Twitter on March 24, asking Twitter users if they believe the “Twitter algorithm should be open source?” In other words, should Twitter make public how they prioritize news?

The final results of the Twitter poll showed that 82.7% of the 1.17 million respondents believe that Twitter should make its algorithm public.

Only two hours ago, Twitter came out with a statement to inform Twitter users that they’ve been working on an edit button for one year, making it clear that it wasn’t Elon Musk’s idea. What people should be asking is why is it taking a company worth billions of dollars ONE YEAR to figure out how to edit comments on their platform?

On March 25, the Tesla founder tweeted: “Free speech is essential to a functioning democracy?” Musk followed his statement with a question: “Do you believe Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle?”

The poll has not yet ended, but with only 6 hours remaining, over 70% believe free speech is NOT being adhered to on Twitter.

Under the poll, Musk wrote: “The consequences of this poll will be important. Please vote carefully,” leaving Twitter users to speculate that Musk is thinking about launching an alternative to Twitter. He certainly has access to the funds he would need to compete with the highly censored platform, and Musk once said, “I don’t create companies for the sake of creating companies, but to get things done.”

Today, it was announced that Musk was invited to join the Twitter board after he purchased a 9.2% share of the company, giving conservatives hope that President Trump’s Twitter account, which was disabled after January 6th, would be restored.

Twitter quickly came out to squelch any rumors that they would be open to lifting the boot off the necks of conservatives on their platform, despite the public remarks about censorship on their platform by their largest shareholder.

‘Twitter is committed to impartiality in the development and enforcement of its policies and rules,’ the company told DailyMail.com on Tuesday. ‘Our policy decisions are not determined by the Board or shareholders, and we have no plans to reverse any policy decisions.’

‘As always, our Board plays an important advisory and feedback role across the entirety of our service. Our day to day operations and decisions are made by Twitter management and employees,’ the company added.

It should come as no surprise that Twitter isn’t interested in lifting the boot off the neck of conservatives. Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s replacement Parag Agrawal made it clear that they are not bound by the “First Amendment.”

Let’s see how long Mr. Agrawal sticks around now that there’s a new majority shareholder who believes in free speech at the helm of Twitter.

Ten people were shot in a terror attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Thursday night, according to authorities.

All of the victims were taken to Ichilov Hospital, with at least two in critical condition, according to the hospital and Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service.

The emergency service said two of the victims were found unconscious on the sidewalk and underwent resuscitation, while four others taken to the hospital were conscious when medical personnel arrived at the scene.

Several other people at the scene were being treated for “stress symptoms,” according to Magen David Adom.

A gunmen has not been apprehended. Israeli police said they are searching for a single suspect.

Officials said “several” shootings took place at Dizengoff Street, Gordon Street and surrounding areas in Tel Aviv. Dizengoff Street is a major street that runs through Tel Aviv and has many shops, bars and restaurants and would have been bustling with activity on a Thursday night.

The attack Thursday is one of several recent terror attacks in Israel. There were three fatal terror attacks at the end of March. On March 30, five people were shot to death in Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, by a man on a motorcycle who was later killed by police. One of the victims was a police officer, according to Magen David Adom.

Two days earlier, on March 28, two police officers were shot to death and four others were wounded in an attack. Then, a week prior, four people were killed in a stabbing attack in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba. The suspect was shot dead.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks.

“Horrified to see another cowardly terror attack on innocent civilians, this time in Tel Aviv,” U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides wrote on Twitter. “Praying for peace, and sending condolences to the victims and their families. This has to stop!”

Putin’s Daughters Sanctioned by U.S. – Hidden From Public Eye

0

Little is known publicly about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s daughters, sanctioned on Wednesday by the U.S. government over Moscow’s “atrocities in Ukraine.”

The U.S. Treasury identified the daughters as Katerina Tikhonova, “a tech executive whose work supports … the Russian defense industry” and Maria Vorontsova, who leads state-funded genetics research programs “personally overseen by Putin.”

A senior U.S. official said Washington believes “Putin’s assets are hidden with family members.”

According to Putin’s official biography on the Kremlin’s website, his daughter Maria was born in 1985 before the family moved to Dresden, where Putin served as a KGB agent.

A second daughter, Katerina was born the next year in Dresden. The only known photo of the women shows them as little girls, with bows in blond braids.

In rare remarks over the years, Putin has disclosed that his daughters received their university education in Russia, speak several European languages and live in Russia. Putin also has grandchildren.

Not much is known officially beyond that, as the Kremlin has kept Putin’s family life firmly out of public sight.

According to Russian media reports, Vorontsova is an endocrinologist who is involved in a large medical research company focused on cancer treatment with ties to the government.

Russian media have identified Tikhonova as a mathematician who heads a science and technology foundation affiliated with Russia’s leading state university.

Tikhonova is also a professional acrobatic rock and roll dancer, who has taken part in prestigious international competitions, according to those reports.

Videos from those tournaments show Tikhonova, wearing glistering fitted costumes stepping onto her partner’s hands and being catapulted into the air for flips and somersaults.

During a press conference in 2019, Putin declined to directly answer a question about his daughters’ growing business clout and their ties to the government, never actually acknowledging that Vorontsova and Tikhonova were his children and referring to them as simply “women.”

“I am proud of them. They continue to study and they work,” Putin said during another press conference several years earlier.

“They are not involved in any business activity and they are not involved in politics. They are not trying to push their way anywhere,” he added.

In an interview in 2020, Putin said he doesn’t want to share any information about his family because of “security concerns.”

He did disclose that he has grandchildren, but wouldn’t say how many.

“I have grandkids, I am happy. They are very good, so sweet. I really enjoy spending time with them.”

Disney Employee Caught Molesting 11-Yr-Old In Elevator Was Quietly Flown Out of US

While Disney makes headlines for its support of LGBTQ+ kids and condemns Florida lawmakers for their recently-passed anti-grooming bill, it’s important to remind the public of Disney’s history of covering up pedophilia within their company. It seems to be on-trend that they want to perpetuate the sexual grooming of children.

Back in 2014, a Disney Cruise Line steward, 36-year-old Ahmed Sofyan, was charged with two counts of molestation and one count of false imprisonment after holding a 13-year-old girl in an unoccupied cabin and molesting her. When this story was released, an ex-Disney Cruise officer spoke out, reporting a similar instance of child molestation that Disney authorities ordered her not to report just two years prior.

Dawn Taplin, the first female security officer at Disney and second in the entire cruise line industry, was on the cruise ship where this occurred. In 2014, she revealed Disney’s previous molestation cover-up.

In 2012, a Disney cruise ship employee was caught on camera molesting an 11-year-old girl in an elevator. Disney authorities allegedly did not allow security to report the incident.

Video footage from the cruise ship shows Braganza leading a young girl into an elevator

Taplin interviewed the young victim after she and her grandmother reported the crime to Guest Services. The security officer, who had 17-years of experience as a police officer, found the surveillance footage extremely troubling.

The molestation occurred while the cruise ship was still docked at Port Canaveral in Florida while passengers were still boarding. Taplin recalls that they “weren’t going anywhere for another two hours or so.” Since they were still on U.S. land, Taplin notified the ship’s second-in-command and offered to call her FBI contact. However, she did not get the response she anticipated.

“I was ordered not to make any phone calls, do anything at all. Nothing. Period,” recalled Taplin. She said that she was told, “Just keep your mouth shut.”

“If a crime is committed while you’re hooked up anywhere here, it is an American, it is a United States, it is a Florida crime,” said Taplin.

The ship then departed that afternoon with the suspected perpetrator, Milton Braganza, still on board, leaving other children at risk of falling victim to the same employee. Disney had put its reputation ahead of the children’s safety.

The following day, after the cruise ship had left U.S. waters, the Disney Cruise Line finally notified the Port Canaveral police and the U.S. Coast Guard. However, the case was passed on to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

“In my professional and personal opinion, I think they wanted to get outside the United States limits and get him off the ship in the Bahamas and just leave it alone,” Taplin said.

The former Security Officer believes that “Disney wouldn’t have gotten away with it if they were Americans.”

One week after this incident, Taplin resigned from the Disney Cruise Line after working with them for nine months.

Disney has shown us that it will put its reputation above all else, a trait most recently exhibited by CEO Bob Chapek. Chapek recently gave in to Left-wing pressure and condemned Florida’s anti-grooming bill, which is meant to protect young children from ‘woke’ adults who want to teach kindergarteners about sexual orientation and convince them that they “might be a different gender than they think.”

What the public is seeing more and more is that Disney will set aside moral judgment and prioritize its public image above all else.

Musk Becomes Twitter’s Biggest Shareholder – Joins Board of Directors – Teases ‘Significant Improvements’

Elon Musk will join Twitter’s board of directors after taking a 9.2% stake in the social media company, according to a release filed with the SEC. Founder and Ex-CEO of Twitter – Jack Dorsey – is holding only 2.25% in stakes.

“Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board,” CEO Parag Agrawal said in a tweet.

Elon Musk will join Twitter’s board of directors after taking a 9.2% stake in the social media company. The news sent shares up more than 6% in the morning.

“Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board,” CEO Parag Agrawal said in a tweet on Tuesday.

“He’s both a passionate believer and intense critic of the service which is exactly what we need on Twitter, and in the boardroom, to make us stronger in the long-term,” he added.

Former chief Jack Dorsey praised the move, saying in a tweet Musk “cares deeply about our world and Twitter’s role in it.”

Musk’s term is set to expire in 2024, according to a filing with the SEC. For his entire board term or 90 days after, Musk cannot be the beneficial owner of more than 14.9% of the company’s common stock outstanding.

Musk’s purchase comes after a bout of criticism aimed at the social media company. The outspoken Tesla CEO polled people on Twitter last month about whether it adheres to free speech principles. He added that he was considering building a new social media platform.

After he was named to the board, Musk on Tuesday teased he would push for adjustments to the product.

“Looking forward to working with Parag & Twitter board to make significant improvements to Twitter in coming months!” Musk said in a tweet.

Musk’s stake, while the largest among outside shareholders, is considered a passive interest, which often means the holder isn’t trying to control or influence the company. Still, some investors expected Musk to take an aggressive stance. After the stake was revealed on Monday, investors pushed the stock up 27%, the mark its best day since its IPO.

Hours after his holding in the company was revealed, Musk took to Twitter to poll users on interest in an edit button. Agrawal retweeted the post, urging people to “vote carefully” as the consequences “will be important.”

Musk’s investment comes at a key time for the social media company. Agrawal, who took over from Dorsey in November, has said he would focus on metrics and accelerate Twitter’s work to bring new products to customers. He’s also under pressure to reach the company’s aggressive internal goals, including growing Twitter to 315 million monetizable daily active users by the end of 2023. Twitter reported 217 million monetizable daily active users in its most recent quarter.

“We believe Musk joining Twitter will lead to a host of strategic initiatives which could include a range of near-term and long-term possibilities out of the gates for the company still struggling in a social media arms race,” Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said in a note to investors. It’s “time to get out the popcorn and watch the developments over the coming months with Musk on the Board,” he said.

Musk is an avid Twitter user with more than 80.5 million followers on the platform. However, he’s also landed himself in hot water several times over his tweets. In 2018, Musk tweeted he had “funding secured” to take Tesla private at $420 per share, which led to litigation. Musk has since agreed to submit his public statements about Tesla’s finances and other topics to vetting by its legal counsel.

He was also subpoenaed by the SEC in November after he asked his Twitter followers if he should sell 10% of his Tesla stock, causing shares to fall.
