Indian news channel CNN-IBN claims to have exposed the brutal treatment meted out to the residents of Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and Kotli in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) putting the country on the back foot over Kashmir as images of the growing revolt in PoK grabbed eyeballs not just in India but across the world.
Indian government called the video an ‘eye-opener’ for the world. Jitender Singh, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs who also represents Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur in Lok Sabha, noted that PoK dwellers are being suppressed and tortured by Islamabad since 1947.
“There has been a simmering discontent among people from PoK for a long time. It is because of the discrimination suffered by this region as compared to other regions of Pakistan. This is not in terms of development but also in the basic facilities provided with respect to health care and education. Protests have taken place in the past but powers in Islamabad managed to quell it. Now it has come to a boiling point and it has come to surface. There had been instances and evidence of human right violation in PoK. They have been written about but Pakistan has been in denial mode,” he said.
Pakistan, however, called it a propaganda of the Indian media claiming that the visuals were doctored. Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry said, “It’s a propaganda. Pakistan has always raised the voice for the Kashmiris. Whole world is watching how Pakistani flags are being raised in Kashmir (Indian Side). From our side it will only be political, moral and diplomatic support for them and that we will continue to extend but there is no answer for the propaganda.”
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in his address to the General Assembly later, said his country is the “primary victim” of terrorism. Bluntly calling Pakistan a “prime sponsor of terrorism”, India strongly hit back at Islamabad, asserting de-militarising Kashmir is not the answer for achieving peace but “deterrorising” Pakistan is as it uses terror as a “legitimate instrument” of its statecraft.

FYI Kashmir is a disputed territory administered by three countries: India, Pakistan, and the People’s Republic of China. While Pakistan tries to make a case for Kashmir, its own house in PoK seems to be in disorder. Unrest in PoK, large human rights violations, illegal detentions, demands for merging with India, and the rising dissatisfaction with Pakistan considerably weakens Islamabad’s Kashmir rhetoric against India.

I’m a Pakistani and recently visited Pakistan occupied Kashmir. It was really a peaceful place and people there really love Pakistan even they also told that they were really disturbed with Indian army existence in Kashmir. Also there was no word like Pakistan in speech of leader in this video, they are against Qabaili Lashkar (Local Tribes). Even that there is no Pakistani police at all in whole Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The video shows Pakistani police, which is really not allowed in PoK. This video is a nothing but a propaganda against Pakistan. And the areas mentioned in this video like FATA and Waziristan, they are the terrorists territories and an operation of Pakistan army is currently being executed against these areas. And by the way, all this is nothing but a propaganda because of traditional enmity of India and Pakistan. Go to Kashmir, meet people of Kashmir and then review your article. are you kidding me , you can’t be serious , i thought people on this website were supposed to expose some right facts but this is a load of crap . I mean these are videos from all over pakistan and of all the things, karachi operation , waziristan operation , protests for jobs and inflation , there are barely few seconds of real kashmir region shown in this video and kashmir is the most peaceful region in Pakistan. do some digging please do some digging this is the only job you have to do here and take this article down. all the mainstream media lies but indians are the worst they don’t even try to hide the fact that they are lying ,
