Speaking to Techworm, the Syrian Electronic Army said, “we want to expose the western countries and western media who are linked to and support an ongoing war in Syria.”
They have claimed to also have set up ‘backdoors’ on several government servers. The SEA is the same group of hackers who were able to hack into major Twitter profiles and websites. They hacked the Twitter accounts of The Daily Telegraph, The Associated Press (AP), CNN and many other major Twitter accounts. They announce their hacks and leaks via Twitter, at: https://twitter.com/official_sea16
