Pope Francis has opened a barber shop for the homeless people in St Peter’s Square. The state-of-the-art facility, paid for by donations and the sale of papal blessings, is offering free haircuts, shaves and showers to Rome’s homeless population. The homeless pilgrims are being given a free toiletry kit — soap, deodorant, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream and even fresh pair of underwear.
Haircuts are available only on Monday, when Rome’s other barber shops are all closed, with professional hairdressers volunteering and bringing along students from local beauty schools and sisters from religious orders. People can access the showers every day but Wednesday, when the piazza is reserved for the pope’s general audience.
On the first day of operation, 40 people turned up for a haircut. The barbers did not wear any masks or special equipment. All the equipment including razors hairbrushes, mirrors and an authentic barber’s chair has been donated by a local hairdressing college.
Pope’s chief alms-giver Monsignor Konrad Krajewski’s office distributed 400 sleeping bags to the homeless during Christmas, and in February donated 300 umbrellas from the Sistine Chapel’s lost-and-found to those living on the street. The barber shop is the latest in a series of initiatives by the pope for the homeless in Rome.

Not in every country it is tradition that communities totally shit on poor and homeless, so there are kitchens for food and monthly they for sure get some money, still there is no own home available for them. This is not somalia lol …
But europes gap between rich and poor gets greater and greater because of bad influence from economy and, sorry to say that, especially their attempt to get closer to fucking USA !
