If you are an active Facebook user then you have probably stumbled across at least a couple of scams, unaware that they are scams you have probably clicked the link just to see the amazing thing that is supposed to happen. Even if you have never done this, it causes way more attention and problems than needed.
“See what happens to this pregnant lady” is the caption mainly used on this particular ‘video’ that recently popped up and started spreading around Facebook. The video claims to be shocking and unexpected when most of the time you will never actually get to see a video in the end.
In this particular scam users will attempt to click the “Play” button but instead of the video playing, it will redirect them to a fake Facebook host page where a pop up appears and encourages the user to share the post to view the video.
After the user has shared the page it will then redirect them to a fake YouTube site upon pressing the Play icon for a second time, the fake site will then prompt you to prove that you are a human by making you click different images.
Amongst all this you are taken to yet another website hungry for information, the site will ask you to fill in multiple different surveys resulting in fake phone calls, texts and emails.
The scammers who set this all up are most likely making money from their spam sent to you as well as the information you provide in the surveys.
Sometimes you will also be asked to update your media player but infact installs harmful data stealing malware.
After you have done all of this, the video will still be locked and inaccessible. The video itself is not actually all that interesting and simply shows a pregnant woman’s unborn baby moving inside her womb:
